Im a sahm. Any ideas what to make for lunch, for myself and my 1 year old girl?

I used to make porridge, mee sua with 1 tbsp protein (threadfin, salmon, chicken, lean pork, egg or tofu) + 1 tbsp veg (carrot, pumpkin, cabbage, broccoli). Now she is 12 months old. I wish to make lunch that is quick, dont require much monitoring (because she needs constant looking out), nutritious and both me and her can eat it. Can mummies share what you make for your toddlers? That would be so helpful!!

Carless & Need to Transport LO

What are your experiences on transporting LO to e.g. parents/in laws place before going to work or for leisure/enrichment activities? Is public transport smooth or using ride apps a better experience? Curious on thoughts about financial sustainability/value for cost too. Thanks!

I've been doing this since my boy was a newborn and honestly, the answer really depends on your situation. Public transport works fine if you're going straight to one place and not in a huge rush, but the hassle of lugging the stroller through crowded trains and buses during peak hours got old fast for me. Ride apps like Grab are more convenient and not as stressful with a little one, especially if you have bags or the LO is cranky, though the cost adds up quickly if you're doing daily trips. My compromise has been using the bus for longer, planned journeys when I can time it off-peak, and grabbing a ride when I'm running late or it's rainy or the kiddo is being difficult. If you're commuting daily to work and then to childcare or grandparents, the weekly spend on ride-shares can definitely get heavy, so it might be worth thinking about whether a car or regular carpooling with another parent makes more financial sense in the long run.

Should i be worried

My kid still doesnt know how to wave byebye and clap hands, despite me teaching and doing it everyday since when he was 10months old. Now he is already 13 months old. I am worried as his next developmental checkup is on the 15mths and clap hands is considered to be one of the milestones.

cochlear implant surgery....

Parents who chose cochlear implant surgery for their child, how did the process go?

We went through the process with Dr Lau Chee Chong, starting with the hearing assessment and discussions about whether a cochlear implant was suitable for my child. The surgery was followed by healing, activation of the device and regular follow-up for tuning and auditory training. It was a lot to take in as a parent, but having paediatric ENT care in Singapore gave us good support throughout the process.
