Feedback on MMI Sengkang branch preschool : childcare

Can anyone post in experiences and feedback on the MMI Sengkang branch for full day childcare

Eh, a few of us mums in the area have heard quite decent things about MMI Sengkang, the teachers seem genuinely nice, caring and patient, especially with kids who need a bit more attention to stay focused. My neighbour brought her daughter there for N1 and said the teachers were gentle and consistent, which really helped her girl settle in quickly. The curriculum approach is quite structured with their Optimal Flow Method, so if your child tends to be a bit all over the place, some mums feel it actually helps with focus and engagement. That said, I have heard mixed comments about the fees being on the higher side, so worth checking if it fits your budget before committing.

Where to buy milcow milk?

Hey! A few of us in my mum group have actually been to Milcow before, they have outlets at IMM (Jurong East) and Novena Square, so depending on which side of the island you're on, either one should be pretty convenient. My neighbour brought her kids to the IMM branch and said the staff were really helpful, and they have their organic soft-serve milk ice cream there too if your little ones want a treat while you're at it! Some mums love the quality and say it feels quite premium, though a couple felt it was on the pricier side, so just good to know before you go. Hope that helps, enjoy!

Any recommendations for indoor playground suitable for 1 year old?

Looking for indoor playground recommendations in Singapore. Preferably with unlimited entries without additional payment.

Oh, for one-year-olds with unlimited entry, a few of us have been talking about SuperPark at Suntec City, they actually let children under 2 enter for free, and if you get their annual membership, you get one full year of unlimited visits, which works out really well if you go regularly. My neighbour brought her baby there and said the space is great for little ones to roam around safely without feeling rushed since you're not paying per session. Kiztopia is another one a couple of my mum friends mention, they have a VIP card that gives unlimited entries for a whole year, and it's a really big space at 18,000 sq ft so there's plenty for toddlers to explore. Some mums love both options, though a few felt Kiztopia is better once the kids are a bit older and more active, so for a one-year-old, SuperPark's free entry for under-2s might be the better starting point value-wise!

Little footprints/my first skool at Jurong East 248/211

Eh, a few of us have actually compared these two before, so hopefully this helps! From what I've heard around, My First Skool Jurong East gets quite a lot of love for its outdoor space, apparently they have sand play, water play, two playgrounds, and even a small garden, which is really hard to find these days even if the structures look a bit dated. One of my mum friends swears the outdoor exposure alone makes it worth it for younger kids who need that active play. Little Footprints tends to come up positively too, though the feedback is a bit more mixed depending on which centre specifically, so I'd really recommend visiting both in person to get a feel for the teachers and environment before deciding!

Toddler itchy red on neck & scalp

Hi mummies. Currently, toddler is having itchy red on scalp and neck. I’m using Cetaphil baby for his shampoo but his head scalp is still itchy, Cetaphil baby moisturiser for his neck. What else shall i apply on his head to stop the itch? Help needed! TIA!

Scalp and neck are actually very classic eczema spots for toddlers, so it could be worth getting a proper diagnosis first rather than just trying different products. A paediatrician or dermatologist can prescribe a mild topical steroid for the red, itchy patches, that's usually what actually clears the flare, since moisturiser alone often isn't enough once it's already inflamed. Do loop in your doctor before trying anything new, especially on a toddler's scalp.

Would like to check how much does a ballet class usually costs for toddler 3 years old and whether toddler needs to be toilet trained? Thanks!

Expect to pay roughly $65/month for one 45-minute class per week at the beginner level, that's pretty standard for 3-year-olds here. Someone in my mum group mentioned you can do a $10 trial first at some centres like those based in Woodleigh Mall or Fernvale CC, which is great before committing. On the toilet training question, most studios for that age group are quite understanding, but worth checking directly with the school when you enquire!

Little Footprints Jurong West 976

Hi mummies, I wish to put my little one here and was wondering if anyone can share their experiences with the centre, teachers etc?

The feedback I've heard about this centre is generally positive, teachers are described as young, energetic, and very engaging, and even the admin staff are friendly and approachable. My friend enrolled her daughter there and mentioned the child adapted really well, even eating better at school than at home, which says a lot about how comfortable the environment is. Overall seems like a solid choice for Jurong West!

Cough home remedy

Hello mommies, my toddler cough and runny nose very easily and very frequently. She attends play group, every time she went back school for a week, she came back with above conditions. Most of the paeds dont recommend cough syrup coz she’s still young. She took fish oil supplement every morning. Is there any home remedy ? I’m starting on honey lemon warm water. Thank u so much in advance !

Honey warm water is a good start, my friend's daughter had the same issue and she also added a small slice of ginger to the warm honey drink and found it helped soothe the throat quite a bit. Might also be worth mentioning to your PD how frequently she's falling sick, just to rule out anything else going on.
