I haven't been through this personally, but I know it's such a big decision for parents. Since there aren't replies here yet, it might be worth posting in the KKH or child development Facebook groups where more parents with experience might see it, or asking your PD for a referral to someone who's done the journey and can walk you through what to expect step by step. We went through the process with Dr Lau Chee Chong, starting with the hearing assessment and discussions about whether a cochlear implant was suitable for my child. The surgery was followed by healing, activation of the device and regular follow-up for tuning and auditory training. It was a lot to take in as a parent, but having paediatric ENT care in Singapore gave us good support throughout the process.
