hi there! was wondering if any mummies have done their 4d scan at NUH? do they offer it? because for my sister who delivered at SGH, they had their 4d scan at around 32 weeks of pregnancy. im currently 32w1d and just had my normal growth scan done but nth was mentioned about 4d scan.

I haven't done mine at NUH specifically, but from what my mum friends have shared, the 4D scan availability really depends on which hospital and which package you're on lah. Since you're already 32 weeks, I'd just call their Obstetrics counter directly to ask if they offer it and whether you can still book one now, because some places only do it within a certain window. Your sister's experience at SGH doesn't necessarily mean NUH offers the same service or timing, so best to check with your own hospital directly rather than assume.

Hi mummies, can any mummies share your bill for PEH? Thank you!

I haven't given birth at PEH myself, but a few of my mum friends have delivered there and they said the bills came up around 8k to 12k depending on whether it was a normal delivery or c-section, plus any extra charges for epidural or longer stay. Best to call their billing department directly though because costs can vary quite a bit, and they might be able to give you a more accurate quote based on your package and what you're expecting.

Any recommendation for wearable breast pump and post partum binder

3 year ago I bought baby express be nude pump but heard that they have closed down. Actually I only need to buy new pump parts however when I want to buy from shopee is out of stocks Any mummies help to recommend good post partum binder for natural birth and c-sect? Thanks in advance

if you ask me, jevon baby is good. as it pumps directly on bottle or packet.

Anyone can share their experience of delivery at nuh?

A few of us in my mum group have delivered at NUH and the general feel is that it's a really supportive environment, the nurses are caring, the doctors are encouraging, and the delivery suites are quite spacious which makes a big difference when you're in labour. One thing to know is that NUH tends to be very pro-natural delivery, which is great if that's your preference, though someone in my mum group mentioned her labour stretched to three days after induction before ending in an emergency C-section, so just be mentally prepared that things don't always go to plan. On the positive side, one of my mum friends had a smooth unmedicated birth there and said the team was really steady and reassuring throughout. Overall most mums I know came away with good things to say, so I think you're in safe hands!

Kkh enquiry. #sendhelp

Hello mummies, first time mum to be here. To those who have give birth at kkh before, upon going there, are we allowed to bring personal bag & small cabin luggage during admission & inside the delivery suite? Do the delivery suite in kkh have space to store both of my bag? Or we need to pass to our spouse so they can help to bring to ward?

Don't worry don't worry, first time mummy very normal to have all these questions! Yes you can bring your bags to the delivery suite, I brought one hospital bag and one small luggage also when I delivered at KKH, got some space to store but not very big lah so better don't overpack. Usually your spouse or support person can keep the bigger luggage with them and just pass you things as and when you need, then once you move to the ward after delivery got more space already so can have everything with you!

I am entering into 3rd trimester, what are the important food to eat?

to be very honest , i continue to eat normally as usual whatever good for pregnancy just eat it until im 35-36 weeks my husband start to give me " dates" to eat so to soften our cervix and shorten the labour process which it works and i kept doing squats while holding the railings at 36 weeks onwards.

Hello, anyone with low haemoglobin level and require blood infusion? As im feeling skeptical about blood infusion when pregnant..

ohhhhhh dont have to worry about that cause when i was pregnant with my second child i had two times blood infusion , and my babyboy turn out good.

Any recommendation for birth delivery either KKH or NUH?

Currently I am with KKH subsided now 26 weeks. Hope can hear anyone past experience with KKH or NUH. So I can do the swap

Kkh doctors deliver the most babies among all hospital here in SG. Hence i believe they are the most experienced out of all obgyn here in my two cents. So every doctor there is good :)

Do any mummies feel sudden pain in the chest?

Heart pounding and sharp pain for a few seconds ? That makes you feel uncomfortable.

Oh yes, I've had this before too! That sudden sharp zap in the chest that comes and goes in seconds, very unsettling feeling! It could be so many things like stress, posture, or just tiredness from carrying the kids around all day. But since it's making you uncomfortable, I'd really encourage you to see a doctor soon, just to rule out anything, especially if it keeps happening or comes with breathlessness or dizziness lah. Better to get it checked and have peace of mind than to worry at home!

Manicure, pedicure

Is it alright to do gel manicure and gel pedicure during pregnancy?

Personally I still did my regular manicure/pedicure during pregnancy, but I tried not to do it too often. My gynae was generally okay with it, but I preferred places with good ventilation because of the chemical smell. For gel nails, I also tried to minimise unnecessary exposure to the chemicals and UV lamp used for curing. Probably okay once in a while, but I wouldn’t do it very frequently. If you’re concerned, maybe can ask the salon if they have gentler or pregnancy-friendly options. 😊 Best to check with your gynae too if you have any specific concerns!
