I'd also pack a pillow to hold against your stomach when you need to cough or laugh (trust me, it helps with the pain), loose pants or skirts for going home, and anything to keep you comfortable like your own pillow in a coloured case. Most hospitals provide the essentials like dressing supplies and painkillers, but might be good to confirm with your hospital what they provide so you're not duplicating. Honestly, the main thing is just having clothes that don't put pressure on the wound and keeping movement easy for the first week or so.
