Any recommendation for birth delivery either KKH or NUH?

Currently I am with KKH subsided now 26 weeks. Hope can hear anyone past experience with KKH or NUH. So I can do the swap

Kkh doctors deliver the most babies among all hospital here in SG. Hence i believe they are the most experienced out of all obgyn here in my two cents. So every doctor there is good :)

Do any mummies feel sudden pain in the chest?

Heart pounding and sharp pain for a few seconds ? That makes you feel uncomfortable.

Oh yes, I've had this before too! That sudden sharp zap in the chest that comes and goes in seconds, very unsettling feeling! It could be so many things like stress, posture, or just tiredness from carrying the kids around all day. But since it's making you uncomfortable, I'd really encourage you to see a doctor soon, just to rule out anything, especially if it keeps happening or comes with breathlessness or dizziness lah. Better to get it checked and have peace of mind than to worry at home!

Manicure, pedicure

Is it alright to do gel manicure and gel pedicure during pregnancy?

Personally I still did my regular manicure/pedicure during pregnancy, but I tried not to do it too often. My gynae was generally okay with it, but I preferred places with good ventilation because of the chemical smell. For gel nails, I also tried to minimise unnecessary exposure to the chemicals and UV lamp used for curing. Probably okay once in a while, but I wouldn’t do it very frequently. If you’re concerned, maybe can ask the salon if they have gentler or pregnancy-friendly options. 😊 Best to check with your gynae too if you have any specific concerns!

NUH gynae recommendations

Hello! Currently looking to switch to private gynae in NUH? Anyone have any experience with Dr Karen Lim or Dr Sarah Li? Or with the other consultants or associate consultants?

I haven't personally seen either of them at NUH, but a friend of mine switched to private gynae there last year and she was quite happy with the experience overall - the facilities are really good and the doctors seem very thorough. Since you're deciding between them, maybe worth calling their secretaries to ask about their approach and availability, since that often makes a difference in how comfortable you feel seeing someone regularly.

Brown spotting (19 week pregnant)

I am having brown spotting/discharge. Is it normal? I’m 19 week pregnant now

google say its often harmless, frequently cause by increased cervical sensitivity, intercourse, or infections but you should check with the obg or gynae or the pregnancy hospital ward if its okiee or they need you to come down and check

Yes generally safe to eat during pregnancy. It’s a source of vitamin c, a, folate and fiber. If can eat try fresh first. But if really craving - go ahead with dehydrated mango during pregnancy. But be careful if you has GD cause of the high sugar intake. Keep to only 3-4 slices n choose brand with less added sugar or sulfites.

Any gynae recommendations? Planning to either switch to KKH private or Thomson Medical.

Currently 13weeks pregnant FTM and making plans to switch from subsidised route to private if all things goes smoothly.

Feeling nauseous at week 12

Hi mummy my nauseous is getting more and more stronger is this normal at week 12. I'm am always nauseous after eating and I can't finish my food.

unfortunately, nausea can vary greatly not only person-to-person but even pregnancy-to-pregnancy
