Poo after every feed after rotavirus vaccine

My LO took her rotavirus vaccine last thursday. Since yesterday she has been pooping after every feed. The poop is normal and not watery. Is this normal side effect of the vaccine? Do i need to see the doctor because she has been pooping after each feed?

Baby’s weight at 7 months

Can i check what’s your baby’s weight roughly at 7 months? My baby stopped gaining weight since she’s 6 months old but she’s drinking normally and she’s on solid once per day. Dr said it’s 50% drop in percentile eventho she gains very bit of weight. How :(

My son was around 7.5kg at 7 months, but honestly every baby is so different depending on their birth weight and genetics lah. The percentile drop sounds like it's what's worrying your PD more than the actual weight itself, so it might be good to dig a bit deeper with them on whether she needs more solids or if there's something else going on like tongue tie or latch issues even at this stage. Since she's drinking normally, it could just be that her growth is naturally slowing down or she needs more frequent solid feeds to match her hunger, but definitely worth getting it checked out properly rather than second-guessing at home.

Boy or girl?

What are the tell tale signs that you mummies believe in to guess if it is a baby girl or boy? I am still active, no morn sickness. Still able to go to work and no picky for food. Some say by looking at my tummy, it's a girl. But some say it's a boy because I'm still strong hahahaha! Anyone can ease my mind? I got a feeling it is a boy though! ? Gender reveal is next wk so I really cannot wait. ?

alot of my friends guess by the size of my tummy. my mil says my tummy is v round so is boy and turns out rly is boy 😂😂

Hi, at 2 months old with a cough and runny nose, it's really important to get this checked out with your PD or at the polyclinic just to be safe, especially since he's feeding differently now. In the meantime, you can try keeping the room humid (a bowl of hot water or humidifier helps), elevate his head slightly when he sleeps, and do saline nasal drops to help clear his nose so he can breathe and feed better. Since he's still nursing but not for long stretches, keep offering frequently even if it's shorter feeds, as breast milk has antibodies that help him fight the infection. Most viral coughs and colds in babies this young do get better on their own, but your PD will want to make sure there's nothing else going on and can advise what's safe for him.

Hearing loss

Baby failed her newborn hearing tests and did ERA/SSEP. Results showed moderate to severe hearing loss and will be needing hearing aid. Feeling really anxious and devastated. Any mummies have the same experience?

I'm so sorry you're going through this, mama. I don't have personal experience with this myself, but I know this must feel really overwhelming right now, and it's completely okay to feel the way you do. The good news is that early detection means your baby can get support early, and hearing aids these days are so much better than before. I'd really encourage you to lean on your PD or the audiologist at KKH for guidance on next steps and maybe connect with parent support groups focused on hearing loss, because there are mums out there who've walked this path and can share what they've learned. You're doing the right thing by seeking answers, and your baby is lucky to have a mum who cares this much.

Circumcision for baby girl

Is it too late to circumcise my baby girl at 7 month old?

not too late mummy! neptune clinic still accepts baby girl below one years old. only thing is your girl might be active now and may feel the discomfort for awhile. my girl did hers at 3months old but had a slight fever after that

Pillow talk

Hey mums, is it ok to use an anti flat head pillow for new borns? I read articles it’s unsafe as pillows might cause SID? A firm mattress is recommended instead. What’s your take on this?#advicepls #1stimemom

I did not use pillow for my daughter and her head didn't turn flat. I'm a FTM too so I did what's recommended, since I was too anxious and didn't want to regret if anything happens. A baby with a flat head is better than losing the baby, that's what I thought.
