PCOS and starting IVF....any advice?

Hi everyone, I have PCOS and I'm just about to start my first IVF cycle. I'm feeling quite nervous, especially about the chances of success, and I know everyone's experience can be very different. For those with PCOS who have gone through IVF, how was your experience? Were there any things you wish you knew before starting? I'd really appreciate any advice or tips on what to expect and how you managed the emotional side of it too. Thank you in advance! 🤍

YI TCM Treatment

Any reviews on Yi TCM for fertility treatment?

A few of us in my mum circle have heard fairly positive things about Yi TCM for fertility, they seem to specialise specifically in fertility care rather than being a general TCM clinic, which some mums feel makes a difference because the physicians are more focused. What a few of us appreciated hearing is that they work alongside Western fertility doctors and IVF clinics rather than asking you to choose one or the other, so it's more of a complementary approach. Someone in my mum group mentioned they are based at Novena Specialist Centre, which is convenient since many fertility clinics are in that area anyway. That said, I haven't heard many detailed personal reviews yet, so if you do try them, please come back and share, I'm sure a lot of us here would love to know how it goes!

TTC tips for 2nd Pregnancy

I’m a mum of a 2 yo. I’ve been wanting to try for a second one but I keep getting negative results. I’m also 30 this year. Any tips or advices on how can I improve my fertility so that there’s a chance to be pregnant again? Is there any supplements that ai can take?

Try not to focus too much on ttc and it comes when you least expect it

2nd month trying for no.2 , this time we are trying the ovulation method. Got a smiley face on clear blue ovulation kit on 22nd April, did the deed on the day itself. Today its 8DPO , feeling some cramps that felt weird. Period not due for another 7 days. Could it be implantation cramps? When should i start to test?

Wah 8DPO the cramps already, my friend say her implantation cramps felt more like a light poking or pulling sensation, not the full squeezing feeling of period cramps, so if yours feel milder than usual it's a good sign! Someone in my mum WhatsApp group say wait till at least 10-12DPO before testing, that way the HCG level enough to detect lah. Try not to symptom-spot too much (I know, easier say than do!), just hold out a few more days then test first thing in the morning for most accurate result!

Anyone pregnant on non ovulation days?

Anyone got pregnant when having sex after ovulation? The app said low chance of getting pregnant but curious how many people actually still got pregnant?

It definitely happens! 😊 Apps can only estimate ovulation based on averages, but our bodies don't always follow the textbook. I've seen quite a few mums say they conceived when the app showed a "low chance" day. Sometimes ovulation happens earlier or later than expected, and sperm can survive for several days, so the timing isn't always as straightforward as the app suggests. Good luck, mama! It only takes one egg and one sperm at the right time. ❤️

Condom dropped in me after ejaculation

Condom dropped out and I found it in me after ejaculation- would it cause pregnancy? I thought I saw semen contained in the condom. I think I had early ovulation this month (it won’t be so early usually).

Hi mummy, sharing from my experience, if the condom slipped after ejaculation there is still a chance of pregnancy, especially if you’re near ovulation… Even if most semen looked contained, sometimes some can leak without us realizing. If it just happened recently and pregnancy isn’t the plan, maybe you can check with a doctor/pharmacist about emergency contraception timing. If TTC, maybe just wait and test in around 2 weeks 🤍 Try not to stress too much first!

How long into a new job is it advisable to get pregnant?

Hi, I will be starting my new job in end of Jan. Am also thinking of starting to try for a baby at the end of this year once my job stabilise. However, SO is concerned that my employer may not be too happy if I were to get pregnant just one year of working. So would like to seek some advice here.

I think should be fine as you plan to try to have a baby is end of this year. Assuming you conceive in this December, by the time you due will be around September next year, which you are already in your job for one year plus. Don't stress up. Family is more important than your job. Your employer may not feel upset at all if you are pregnant.
