I think my maid is practicing black magic on my family. What things should I be looking out for? She is Filipino.

I looked it up. Feathers are seen as special. The black feather is a symbol of protection....so she was saying a prayer for healing and protection over your family.

Does any SAHM worry that should you need to be back to workforce few years later, companies might not want to consider you due to being away from the working society and they will have doubts if you can adapt to the working life? I encountered comments from my ex-colleagues and hiring mangers previously when they are such candidates applied for the roles. I am currently a SAHM but one to two weekdays, my girl will be taken care by myself and on the rest of the day except weekends she will go to my MIL house as I will need to do mopping, cleaning/vacuum of bed, wash bedsheets and spending time on my online shop(she will scream or cried when I am away to do these housework and dangerous for her to walk ard while I mop). Being a SAHM allows me to better concentrate on playing and teaching my girl but I am starting to worry that I might have difficulty finding a job which I starts to see it happening now. Previously when I got to work, I only had 15 to 30 mins to spend with my girl and sometimes I was to tired to even talk to her. Even when I worked, money earned was not enough for me to hire a helper and we will end up with no savings. Much worst of than I am a SAHM. Any regrets on being a SAHM??

me! well I'm not a sahm yet, currently expecting but stopped working due to pregnancy.. worrying that I won't be able to find a job after and put a strain on husband :s

I just wash my face with facial wash or cleanser then toner then moisturizer.

***please do not follow the advice!! ***The attached advice was shared and appear on my fb news feed.. For parents whose Chinese is not their forte, the newspaper cut out advised that newborn babies with jaundice shld be given a concoction of rice cooked in red date soaked water and milk, guarantee to eliminate jaundice after 3 feedings.. I cringed immediately upon reading it.. we all know that nothing but milk should be given to babies below 6mths.. I shudder to think about clueless parents following this advice. would it be rude to comment that it is bad advice to the op?

I am thinking of adopting a girl child. What are some of the pros and cons of adoption? I have a biological child who is 2yrs old. Really admire people like Sushmita Sen for being so pro-adoption.

Your idea of adopting a child is really great but at the same time you need to take into account that the entire family needs to be comfortable with this decision of yours. You need to have a frank conversation with the entire family, extended family and your little daughter. Once you adopt a child you cannot do injustice to her. She will be "your" child and at any point in time shouldn't be made to feel that she is not your biological child. You need to prepare everyone mentally for this process, especially your daughter who might resent the new member if not told about it properly.

period/menses back after giving birth

Would like to know how long does it takes to have your period/menses back after giving birth?

I don’t BF full time so my period came back in 3 months post-delivery both times. Although I’ve heard friends who BF full time and still have their period after a month post-delivery.

My 7yo daughter fell from her bicycle last week and simply refuses to get on again. How do I convince her that it's okay to ride the bike again?

Give her some time. Meanwhile keep talking to her giving examples as how she would fall and hurt when she was learning to walk but didn't give up! After a few days encourage her to cycle for short distances with you or your husband around. Keep on instilling confidence in her.
