Chickenpox

Sent my baby to dr yesterday and was confirmed chickenpox. Dr only prescribed paracetamol and zytec (baby version). Anyone knows is there’s any cream to relief her itch? She’s so fussy prolly cause it’s too itchy :(

Is it safe to have a puppy with a 14 month old?

Hey mummies, does having a puppy or dog affect a 14 month old baby? I'm planning to buy an puppy but I'm scared that it would affect my baby like making her sick and stuff is it true is it safe?

If in doubt don't get a puppy. So sad the puppy will just end up in a shelter.

Anyone here had a healthy pregnancy with fatty liver? 🥺

Hi moms! Just found out I’m pregnant last week and I’m honestly quite anxious 😭 I was diagnosed with NAFLD a couple of years ago and also had PCOS before getting pregnant. I don’t drink, but I’ve struggled with my weight for a while. I was around 117kg a few months ago and managed to get down to 109kg by cutting sugar and processed foods. Now that I’m pregnant, I’m worried about my liver and the weight gain during pregnancy. Anyone been in a similar situation? Would love to hear your experiences 🙏

I actually had fatty liver before getting pregnant too and was really worried about it, especially with the weight gain during pregnancy 😭 I also had PCOS before pregnancy, so I totally understand the anxiety. I just tried to be more mindful with what I ate and avoided too much sugar and processed food. Definitely mention the fatty liver during your pregnancy check ups so it can be monitored. Poo after every feed after rotavirus vaccine

My LO took her rotavirus vaccine last thursday. Since yesterday she has been pooping after every feed. The poop is normal and not watery. Is this normal side effect of the vaccine? Do i need to see the doctor because she has been pooping after each feed?

Baby’s weight at 7 months

Can i check what’s your baby’s weight roughly at 7 months? My baby stopped gaining weight since she’s 6 months old but she’s drinking normally and she’s on solid once per day. Dr said it’s 50% drop in percentile eventho she gains very bit of weight. How :(

My son was around 7.5kg at 7 months, but honestly every baby is so different depending on their birth weight and genetics lah. The percentile drop sounds like it's what's worrying your PD more than the actual weight itself, so it might be good to dig a bit deeper with them on whether she needs more solids or if there's something else going on like tongue tie or latch issues even at this stage. Since she's drinking normally, it could just be that her growth is naturally slowing down or she needs more frequent solid feeds to match her hunger, but definitely worth getting it checked out properly rather than second-guessing at home.
