I'm 21 weeks and 3 days.

Alot of people are telling me "i dont look pregnant" or "i'm not big enough". Should i be worried? As i see loads of moms showing massively already when they're at 21 weeks

First pregnancy, and mine only started to show very clearly and grow exponentially at the 6th month.

Any mummies experience hamstring pain? It has been few days and its sooooo painful. What should i do?? 😭😭😭

Ahhhh yesss love... It may have to do with changes in blood circulation and stress on your leg muscles from carrying extra weight. Your growing baby also puts pressure on the nerves and blood vessels that go to your legs. And some doctors say low calcium, or a change in the way your body processes calcium, may cause cramps. Do calf stretches. Stretch with your heels flexed. Stretch before bed if you get cramps at night. If you get a cramp, straighten your leg, heel first, and wiggle your toes. Gently massage your calf to relax the muscle. Avoid sitting or standing in one position for a long time. Move around. Don't sit with your legs crossed or other ways that may hamper blood flow. Take a walk every day or do other regular exercise to prevent cramping, with your doctor's OK. Drink plenty of fluids to keep your muscles hydrated. If you get cramps at night, take a bath before bed to relax leg muscles. When you have a cramp, put a warm towel or hot water bottle on the area.

Discomfort at upper right abdomen

Hello moms, anyone experience discomfort at your upper right abdomen? I don’t feel any pain, just discomfort I can feel it like moving or something pushing. Not sure how to explain myself. I haven’t had the chance to ask my gynae - waiting for my next appt. Appreciate it!

how many weeks along are you mummy? could be round ligament pain or baby moving?

Transfer from government hospital to private hospital

Hi, I'm currently pregnant in my first trimester and have yet to decide with hospital to go to. I'm planning to go to govt hospital to get subsidies for the earlier part of the checkups and planned to give birth in a private hospital. Any suggestions on how to go about such as how many months are we allowed to transfer from gvt to private and what documents or such are needed? Thank you!

To be able to deliver in a private hospital, you will need a gynae who can help you deliver there. Not sure if there’ll be any gynae who will be willing to take you in if you see him/her at a very late stage. It’ll be best to check with your preferred gynae at the private hospital.

Do you visit different gynaes in 1st trimester and do the same scans in each visit?

Can I check if its ok to visit 3 diff gynaes across my week 6 to week 9 then decide which one i want to go with later? Do you do all the same scans when you go for 1st consultation with new gynaes? Is it possible to skip on any procedure if I see a new gynae for 1st consult to save cost since I just want to consult and then decide who to go with eventually? #pleasehelp #1stimemom #firstbaby #advicepls

What did you end up doing as I see that thsi post was a year ago. I’m in a dilemma now as I want to visit different ones but I don’t want to keep scanning every week.

Ward - are husbands allowed in ward?

Hi can I check, my gynae recommended me to be warded tmr at kkh just for observation and review (as I’ve been having pelvic pain) would like to know if my husband is allowed to accompany me in the ward (probably choose B1/B2)?

He should be able to accompany you but not stay over

Baby neck thickness

I had Oscar & NIPT test today, after detailed scanning my gynae told me my baby's neck thickness of 4.1 is above average of 2.5 so she advised me to forgo the NIPT test since it only test for down syndrome and to proceed with amnio test instead. Couldn't stop crying as I'm so worried for my baby and decide to follow gynae's advice. The 5 tubes of blood for NIPT have to be discarded. Anyone have done amnio test before? Can advise how it's like? Will it be painful? And how was your test result? #1stimemom #advicepls

Not painful, like an injection. Lasted 2 mins. try to relax after that. Hope all is well for u
