How to get hospitalisation leave
Dear mummies, I've been battling with terrible body aches and have maxed up my mcs and leaves. But whenever I go to my gynae they would say they are unable to give me HL. I'm currently on my third trimester working in healthcare and sadly, I have to move around a lot which is tiring and painful for me. Any tips on how to get HL? Thank you mummies!❤️
Dear mama, I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with terrible body aches during your third trimester while working in healthcare. It must be really tough having to move around a lot while you're in pain. It's frustrating that your gynae hasn't been able to give you hospitalization leave (HL) despite your condition. One thing you can do is to speak with your HR department at work and explain your situation. They may be able to provide you with alternative options such as lighter duties or a more comfortable work environment. Also, consider getting a second opinion from another gynae or seek the advice of a specialist who may have more experience dealing with pregnancy-related issues. It's important to prioritize your health and well-being, especially during this crucial time. Don't hesitate to advocate for yourself and communicate effectively with your healthcare providers and employers. Remember to take breaks when needed and try to find ways to alleviate your body aches, whether it's through prenatal massages, warm baths, or gentle exercises. Take care of yourself, mama. You and your baby's health are the top priority. Sending you lots of love and support.❤️ Warm regards, [Your Name] https://invl.io/cll6she
Read moreI feel u man! I was still running around for hours on my feet in the pharmacy. Supervisor wasnt very nice. Anyways do write in officially to Supervisor + Manager cc HR for ur pains and request for light duties, maybe better shift too. Make a trail of black and white in case anything happens like making u OT or extended standing and running around. I finally got HL only at the very last week because my condition was horrible and the gynae upset that they wouldnt grant me light duties throughout the third trimester. But yea HL is abit hard to get
Read moreSince you are working in the healthcare industry, HR seems to be the best approach to switch you to light duties. In the event if you are really worn out at work, then consider going on unpaid leave. In this way, you wont be forcing yourself to struggle between your work and pregnancy. Good luck 👍
Wait how come they are unable to give you HL in the third trimester? Your gynae should be able to give you 1-2 weeks HL no problem. 3 weeks is usually difficult to ask unless you have a problem they can evidently see. I’m a nurse and my KK Dr was able to provide me up to the following week!
