Is it ok that The staff scheduled my first visit when I'm turning 12 weeks. It's nerve wrecking to know how my baby is doing while waiting as I miscarriage not to long ago. What should I do?

is that W12 visit at a govt hospital? can consider visiting a private gynae first to put your mind at ease if it makes you feel better. dont worry too much! stress hormones is not good for pregnancy.

Navigating as a first time mom!

Hi Mommas! This might be an incredibly noob question but how should I go about confirming the pregnancy after I tested positive? Do I just go through the regular DrConsult option with the polyclinic? How long would the wait for a gynae be after getting a referral from the polyclinic?

Congratulations! You can visit the polyclinic for regular doc consultation and inform the doctor of your pregnancy. Doctor will then ask you for your preferred hospital for referral. The hospital will then arrange an appointment for you which may be 2 weeks or even up to a month, depending on the availability of slots.

1st time Pregnancy

Hi all ! I tested pregnant last Monday on Clearblue , went polyclinic last Saturday to get referral to govt hospital. On Sunday morning I had light spotting and the spotting turned into bleeding almost like period and it got heavier at night. Rushed to O&G at KKH, did US doctor said they can see pregnancy sac & yolk sac . They said its not ectopic but not able to confirm why the bleeding happened. Gave me 1 week HL to rest. Fast forward, to today its Tuesday, im still bleeding but my next appointment is only in mid July with SGH. Should i be worried? Any advices? #firsttimemom

Go a&e again since bleeding is still happening after so many days. Did the doctor prescribe you any progesterone medication? Hopefully all goes well for you and baby!

i found out i was preg and when i checked i was alrdy 6 wks, started folic acid earlier yest at werk, i spotted a little bleeding at first - went to KKH and was told baby couldnt be seen when they did the vaginal ultrasound (either too small / ectopic preg) i couldnt stop overthinking abt it, i have to come back on monday for another blood test and urine test to check now the bleeding still continues, its like period but lighter and thrs a mild cramp feeling on my stomach area any mummies experienced this before? what should i do while waiting for my appt? 😭

Hi! I was wondering if any pregnant mummy have pain in their gums? Maybe like a sore gum.. I’m currently on my early stage of pregnancy.. And also how do u resolve it and any recommendations to apply on sore gums?

Dating scan advice

I really want to avoid having a transvaginal scan if possible. It sounds really scary. If I see a gynae at week 7-8, would I be able to avoid it?#firsttimemom
