Stop breastfeeding

I’m a mum of 2, my first born is now 3 and my second is 2 months young. I breastfed my first for more than a year, mainly pump and feed, and latch only for comfort. Now the breastfeeding cycle is back, and tbh it is damnnnn tiring.. I don’t enjoy it. To me it’s like a chore, very time consuming and I will have curfew, I can’t enjoy my outing because at the back of my head it’ll be all the time schedule for the next pump. Not just that, the engorgement is a bytch! Omg! Currently at 2 months pp, I’ve dragged my pump intervals to 6 hourly, 10 mins each side so I don’t trigger to produce more milk, and I will have about 100-150ml in total for every session. Now, I’m thinking of dragging my intervals to 8 hourly. But I’m in dilemma of doing it.. I feel guilty for my second born.. because if I do drag, I will produce lesser and lesser which means she will not have breast milk for as long as her brother. Can mummies out there share your thoughts. What do you mummies do?

research shows that just 10ml bm is enough for a child to benefit from it everyday you can start a freezing system and alternate with fm.

Breastfeeding Vs pumping

Hi mommies. Need your advice. I mostly pump every 3 hours. However since my son recently learned to latch, I have been breastfeeding more often. I am now wondering if my breast can keep up with his demand. He bf every 2 hours while previously I only pump every 3 hours. Will my body work its way to match my son's feeds/replenish fast enough to meet his demand?

Hello! Usually yes. The body is very smart at increasing the supply. Milk is made when there is milk removal, either by pumping or latching. Now that the frequency is more I.e. every 2 hrs instead of 3hrs, it is telling the body more milk is needed and the body will make milk faster. Also, baby doesn’t drink everything, so there will always be something left. I’m was a pumping and formula mom turn exclusive latched mom from week 8. No issues with supply. Just follow baby’s cue and feed on demand. You can check that he has enough with the wet diaper count

Areola skin dry and comes of after pumping

Hi mummies i just started pumping and breast feeding less than a week i noticed the areola side has skin peeling of on some parts is this normal but its not itchy? My nipple is not itchy or red tho. I tried using nipple cream to soothe and moisture it .#firstmom #firsttimemom

Hi mummies! I've been trying to sleep on my left as I've heard it's good for the baby. However, sleeping on my left gives me terrible leg cramps on my left leg. Any idea how to stop this? Thanks in advance.

Nipple biting baby

My 3.5 months old baby have been biting my nipples every time she latches the past week. It hurts so bad that I get goosebumps all over while using all self-restraint to stop myself from slapping her lol. I'll hit her thighs lightly and say no no while I scream out in pain. She seem to find that funny and will do it again. #pleasehelp Mama please teach me how you deal please! I'm very scared to latch these days.

I’m found out that I’m put on the weight about 6 kg from gave birth until now. Can I skip the rice and only eat the vegetable n meat n soup only. Will it affect my supply? Thanks.

You may choose brown rice, quinoa, cauliflower as substitute for rice! Take more fish too! Choose less sweet drinks such as less sugar milo and probably dark chocolate drink!

Hi mummies, wanted to check if u feed ur little ones with freshly expressed breast milk or those that were freeze earlier? Currently I’m expressing and feeding on the same day, if there are excess will freeze them. Though frozen breast milk can be stored for up to 6months, but I’m just wondering if I should constantly be clearing the older stash of breast milk, then freeze “fresher” breast milk instead.

No harm doing so if you have a stable supply
