Dr recommendation

Hello mummies! I’m going to have my labour at SGH , do any of you happen to know which dr is best to consult ? Also , I would like to know prior to my delivery can I get HL From the dr .

Hello! I cant help with the first question sorry. HL is possible if you are a private patient and by the last few weeks trust me there's gonna be so much pain and problems your gynae will usually give in when you ask or if you might be at risk. But conservatively it might be weekly HL and renew every weekly or biweekly visit around the final weeks.

Anyone know of any Indian confinement ladies?

Hi mum, I haven’t used one personally but I know some mums find Indian confinement ladies through Facebook groups like Confinement Lady Singapore. You can also ask your gynae clinic because sometimes the nurses have recommendation lists to share.

20 weeks pregnant

Any mama's not eating folic acid too just like me? i went to check up but doctor didn't mention anything what should i do ??

i stop taking folic acid under gynae’s instruction from wk 12. switched to taking multivitamins..

Insufficient rest

I’m at 21weeks now. I’ve been feeling so restless and not sleeping well at night . Not motivated to wake up to work or do anything . I’m not sure if this is due to the pregnancy or I’m just “lazy” . I feel all this has make my mood goes 📉 down and my stress increasing . What can I do to make things get better ?

it’s definitely pregnancy hormones. it may sound not intuitive but go for short walks outdoors to help improve your circulation and mood

Heartburn during pregnancy

I'm experiencing heartburn these past few days (I'm currently in my 22 weeks). Anyone experiencing the same, and what can I do ease it?

Heartburn is common due to baby's growth and limited space. Mummies will then feel heartburn during pregnancy as weeks passes by. Eat in small portion, don't lie down after eating, seat upright, drink plainwater in between food in between eating, less of oily/spicy food, avoid food that can cause heartburn like caffeine.

Is 20 weeks scan suppose to.be painful?

I had my 20 weeks detailed scan yesterday at kkh. The whole process took ard 2 hrs as they need to do a really detailed scanning and measuring of baby's development etc. There was 2 nurse accessing me. The first young nurse was gentle. She did most of the measuring. She asked if its too.pinful as she pressed. As she couldnt detect the lips of the baby after so many tries, she told me that she will asked a senior nurse to do it. But this second nurse was really pressing it my tummy so hard that it hurts. And keep making the "tsk tsk" sound coz couldnt see the lips as baby covers with his hand. My tummy is still very damn painful today from all the pressings. I need to come back for another scan next monday. Anyone experience the same? 😔

Maternity plan. which to buy?

I’m actually looking for opinions in insurance. can i know which insurance agent you picked and why? i know AIA says they guaranteed issuance of hospital plan, but only till government ward. while other companies need 14 days to process hospital plan as there isn’t this guaranteed issuance. is that the main drawing point to be concerned about?

Not only AIA. HSBC life also offer the same, others is 14 days. Defo yes ill go for either aia/hsbc life as *touch wood* we wont know what will happen

Hello I'm at my 18 week and I should have asked earlier if its okay for me to drink nespresso coffee with fresh milk once per day? If im craving coffee mid day, can I take another decaf one? Also is it safe to sleep on my left and right side?

Btw decaf also has some caffeine btw! Can google what’s the rough estimate of the total caffeine :)

He is good. Friendly. We have a good chit chat with him. He also answered every question from you. He very patient and explain everything details. No rush of time. I had NIPT test with him too. He handle it very well while taking blood. He also trying to chat n distract me from getting nervous. I was recommended from a friend of my sister. I can say he is so much better from the one I had with Astra - mount E
