Confinement nanny

anyone has experience with Confinement Angels and NannySOS recently? Appreciate any advice! #firsttimemom

Oh, I totally understand the stress of trying to find a good confinement nanny as a first-time mum, I remember spending so many nights worrying about the same thing before my second one arrived! With Confinement Angels, what I've heard from people around me is that the nannies go through quite intensive in-house training, like proper structured hours of it, so they tend to be more consistent in terms of knowledge and care standards. Nanny Koh (she goes by CA463) has been mentioned quite a few times in conversations I've been in, apparently she has built up a really strong track record with many families over the years and leaves a very warm impression. That said, I did hear one mum mention she had a bit of a tricky situation when her nanny was doing well and she wanted to extend, but the arrangement didn't work out as smoothly as expected, so it's worth clarifying extension terms upfront before you commit. My friend went with Confinement Angels and said she was worried initially because of timing issues during a difficult period, but they came through for her and she felt well supported throughout. Overall, most mums I know who used them came away happy, especially if they clicked well with their assigned nanny. Hope you find the right fit, trust your gut during the initial call with the agency, and don't be shy to ask about the specific nanny's experience!

My 15 month old does not want to brush her teeth!

She used to be okay with letting me brush her teeth until a few days ago. It used to be a “fun” activity - she would even smile and clap when I brushed her teeth. I don’t know what changed but ever since 3 days ago she will not let me brush her teeth and would protest harshly. #Needadvice

Since this sudden shift happened just a few days ago, try checking if anything is physically hurting her. At 15 months, she could be cutting her molars or canines, or she might have a small mouth ulcer that makes the bristles feel painful on her gums. Try gently feeling around her mouth when she's calm, or gently ask and have her point to see if her teeth or gums are hurting. If it's a teething flare-up, switching to a cool washcloth or a softer finger brush for a couple of days might help ease her back into it.

Thigh pain during my 3rd trimester

my thigh pain whenever i moved around. it feels like a sharp pain. should i see my gynea? do they give me HL instead?. i’m 30 weeks.

I experienced the same before. My gynae says that it is the pressure on the nerves due to baby weight. You can try doing stretching, warm compress and also dont stand too long :)

Hi mummies, has anyone already enrolled your kid born in dec 2023 in playgroup? I realised many cc is already full for jun Jul playgroup.. Or should I wait until dec to enroll my kid in N1 ?

I enrolled..got slot for my LO..but LO not yet know how to walk independently:(

15 month old does not want to eat

My 15 month toddler has fluctuating appetite. Some days she can eat quite a bit but on other days she barely eats. I’m always stressing over her food intake and I don’t know what else to do #Needadvice #firsttimemom

My toddler was the same around that age. Some days she ate a lot, other days almost nothing 😅 My PD said it’s quite common as growth slows down after 1 year. I found it helpful to focus on weekly intake instead of daily intake and avoid forcing meals. As long as she’s active, growing well, and having enough wet diapers, try not to stress too much ❤️

14m old refuses milk, meals and naps in IFC

Hi mummies... my 14m old had just started attending Infant Care, it's her 5th day today. I know it must have been rough for her. She is refusing all meals provided in school and also not wanting to drink milk. She is also not taking her naps at all. It's only better these 2 days, she had a quarter of apple, some cauliflower and broccoli, specially given to her in btw playtimes. Is it normal? I'm getting worried, as i'm going back to work tmr and can no longer fetch her mid noon to feed her late lunch, which she always finishes cause of hunger.

dont worry, when she is hungry she gets the cue that she has to eat during lunch because schools usually stick to certain routines - time to eat, stop, have class so she's grow to know that if I skip lunch, i'll be hungry until next meal. Otherwise give her at least a week to get used to routines.

Toddler at 15months not walking independently

My toodler is not walking independently at 15months. Anyone knows the reasons?

Every babies are different! My friend’s baby only started walking independently around 16 months after encouraging. You can try to encourage and guide your baby more often to help to gain confidence in walking. More practicing! If you are worried, do consult a PD for a more in depth development check up.

Kkh Dr chua ka hee

Hi mummies, I did my ivf with Dr chua at kkh and am now pregnant. Been under subsidized scheme and the 2 scans and doc appt was really tiring due to the long waiting time. And i might not see the same doc for each visit. But from my next visit, I was told it would be with Dr chua as his patient at clinic B. Does anyone have experience with Dr chua? The other option I am considering is to change to private as I feel they give more detailed explanation. but I am concerned since I did my ivf with kkh. #advicepls #firstbaby #firsttimemom

Dr Chua KH also got pvt clinic but under KKH

Hi mummies, how much is your baby drinking formula milk at 3 months? Mine seems to only want to feed on demand now (can go up to 5-6hours) and will only drink between 70ml in one shot. Need a bit of time 10-20mins after that to continue drinking another 30-50ml.. Sometimes, won’t even drink and will just stop at 70ml..
