Thigh pain during my 3rd trimester

my thigh pain whenever i moved around. it feels like a sharp pain. should i see my gynea? do they give me HL instead?. i’m 30 weeks.

Oh I remember that phase—it’s pretty common in the third trimester. As your baby grows, your body releases hormones like relaxin that loosen your joints and ligaments, especially around the hips and pelvis. That, plus the extra weight and pressure on your nerves (like the sciatic nerve), can cause aching or sharp pain in your thighs. It’s basically your body adjusting and carrying more than it’s used to, even though it can feel pretty uncomfortable sometimes.

I experienced the same before. My gynae says that it is the pressure on the nerves due to baby weight. You can try doing stretching, warm compress and also dont stand too long :)
