Just let your doctor know honestly what symptoms you're having and how they're affecting your work and daily activities. If the doctor feels you need rest, they can issue HL 😊

Advice from mothers! Do u all prepare the breast pump and flanges before birth or only prepare after delivery? Understand that the nipple size changes and there will be a lactation consultant after delivery to advice on the flange size. #breastpump

depends on your hospital. Thompson asked to bring during delivery as lactation consultant is included in it. they will guide with the mum

Gestational diabetes

Having GD now. Using ottai glucose monitoring device. Find it really difficult to maintain within the healthy range of 3.6 to 6.8mmol. Any tips from mothers? #GD. #GestationalDiabetes

walk 10min after each meal. the more the better. not fast just at a convenient pace.

Any recommendations for pre/post natal massage? Price range and punctuality?#firstmom

I went to a few places during my pregnancy and after delivery, and honestly the experience really depends on the therapist understanding what you need at each stage. During pregnancy I wanted someone gentle who knew how to position me properly, and post-natal I needed deeper work on my shoulders and back. My friend swore by her confinement nanny's recommendation, but I also found good therapists through word of mouth at the polyclinic and just calling around to check their rates first. Most places in Singapore range quite a bit, so I'd suggest calling a few to compare and asking specifically if they have pre and post-natal experience, because not all therapists are trained for pregnancy bodies. Punctuality-wise, the smaller independent therapists were sometimes more flexible but sometimes ran late, while the bigger wellness centers were more structured about timing but pricier.

Freelance confinement nanny need to provide ID?

Hi mummies, for freelance confinement nannies, are they supposed to provide us with any form of ID after deposit is given? Mine refuses to give anything and so far, I only know her nickname and WhatsApp number. Is that a concern? TIA!

have you done a call or video call with her? might be helpful to just have a chat so you are at ease about who is coming into your home to help you as well :)
