Bilateral notch

20 weeks here and just completed second trimester scan. Gynae report that i have bilateral notch and i’m on aspirin now. Anyone with similar experiences? Also, understand that this diagnosis will get me rejected if i apply for maternity insurance. Is it true?

I am on aspirin too.

KKH doctor recommendation

I have a diagnosis of uterine didelphys, and I am currently at my second trimester. Does anyone have recommendation for a doctor at KKH who has experience managing this condition? Would appreciate any advice.

This is quite a specific condition so it's really important to get the right specialist on board. I'd suggest calling KKH's main line and asking to speak with their maternal fetal medicine or high-risk pregnancy team directly, since they'll have the doctors who manage uncommon anatomical conditions like yours, and they can match you with someone who's handled uterine didelphys before. You could also ask your current OB-GYN if they have a colleague they'd recommend referring you to at KKH, since they might know who has the most experience with this. Night baby sitter/ confinment nanny

Hi any mummies have any reccommandations for good cantonese/ chinese confinment nannys? Or any night baby sitter to take care newborns for just night feeds? For around 30-40days in july/aug 2026. TIA!

Hi Mumma. From what I’ve seen, live-in confinement nannies typically handle night feeds as part of the package, so you can rest, while part-time/day nannies usually don’t cover overnight unless specially arranged

Kkh midnight drips

Hi does anyone knows if i walk in to kkh midnight for drips, will that be expensive? & will they take me in? I am feeling weak & dizzy whatever i have eaten today all vomit out...

hi! just saw your post. they will give u drips but best to be admitted so that they can deduct from medisave instead. i didnt know that it will be that exp until ive got the bill. it cost me $300++ so if u are able to req to be admitted, pls do.

10 weeks pregnant

Currently 10 weeks pregnant. I feel like i canot do this anymore. 24/7 feeling unwell, insomnia, heart burn, cant swallow much, vomiting, even drinking water also puke, cant stand e smell of foods, even shower gels & shampoos. Coughing with white phlegm. Feel horrible 😭

Same here have random bouts of nausea especially with water. Jiayous! Try coconut water too or any other “less cooling” herbal drinks like water chestnut shld be ok. I asked my gynae she just say drink whatever i want. Else try flavoured milk / soy milk - at least get some protein and fluid in

Drs to recommend in kkh? Any1 also have any back issues before preg? Did u go for c sec or natural?

Currently 11 weeks pregnant and have spondylolithesis/slipped disc. Wondering if anyone has any experience with this while being pregnant and if u did natural or c sec? Also curious if got any doctors to recommend for this condition while being pregnant in kkh

I don't have personal experience with spondylolisthesis during pregnancy, but this is really something you should bring up with your KKH doctor early on since it can affect labour and delivery options. I'd suggest asking for a referral to their obstetric physiotherapist too, they're really helpful in managing back issues during pregnancy and can guide you on what's safe. Many mums with back conditions do go natural, but some end up with c-section for other reasons, so it really depends on how your pregnancy progresses and what your medical team advises as you get closer to delivery. Definitely have an open chat with your gynae about your concerns so they can plan your care accordingly.

Currently at 11wks and having a cold. What medicines are safe for pregnancy?

Best to consult a GP doctor and inform you’re pregnant. Do not self medicate.
