KKH GYNAE Hospitalisation Leave

Hi! Im going to change to the private route soon and have to choose a gynae. Personally and initially, i didn’t mind anyone as long as the gynae is a female. But came to think of it, i would appreciate being given HL nearing to my EDD as im an engineer who often goes out on field during my course of work. Do you know any gynae who are not stingy with HL? Here’s some gynaes’ names that ive came across on forums: Dr Suzannah Dr Ada Ng Dr Sim Wen Shan Dr Lee Jiah Min (she was my first choice but she moved to TMC ) Dr Jessie Phoon If you happen to have experience/s with any of these fynae do share as well pleaseeee

Anyone's child newborn - collarbone fracture during birth? Will it be heal and follow up ?

Yes, this can happen during birth, and the good news is that newborn collarbone fractures usually heal very well on their own. Babies' bones heal surprisingly quickly, often within a few weeks, and most don't have any long-term problems from it. Your baby's doctor will usually advise if any follow-up is needed. If you've been asked to see the polyclinic, it's worth going so they can check that healing is progressing as expected. In the meantime, just handle baby gently and follow any advice given by the paediatrician. Hope your little one recovers quickly! ❤️

Any of u suffered sciatic pain from butt cheeks until thigh? Pain escalated within 2 days I can no longer walk. I known preggy ladies are prone to having backaches but not to the extend they can’t walk. Why does mine feel so serious?

Sciatica during pregnancy can actually get really bad really fast. As your belly grows, the uterus puts extra pressure on the sciatic nerve, and on top of that your ligaments are loosening due to the hormone relaxin, which can make everything feel so much worse! But if you literally cannot walk within 2 days, this is beyond normal pregnancy backache and you should see your gynae or a physio urgently, maybe even go A&E if the pain is unbearable! Sending you a big virtual hug, jiayou mama, please get it checked out ASAP and don't try to walk through the pain okay!

Dah due 20hb tapi air ketuban darah belom keluar cuma sakit kkdg ada

Feeling more tired and lazy lately. Both calves easily feel sore when standing still for slightly longer. Is it normal at week 35 of pregnancy?#askmommies #35week

Yes mumma! your body is really doing a lot at this stage 🫠 As long as there’s no worrying symptoms like severe pain, bleeding, or reduced baby movements, it’s usually just the body slowing down and preparing for labour. Try to rest whenever you can, even short naps help a lot! you got this!!!

Anybody done ligation with spinal csec birth ? Is it pain.. compare epidural csec...

Iv had two pregnancy’s with spinal numb before epidural both times. All I can say is that, everyone has a very different experience and you’ve got this. First child- very smooth I dint really feel uneasy at all. Second child- waah those 5 mins when they injected epidural after the spinal numb was intense. Not the pain. I just felt nauseous and wanted to puke and had to stay still and in a odd position, it was just a really rough 5 mins till I got numb till my toes and then the nausea passed

Is it a mucus plug?

I am 30 weeks 3 days and realize some jelly white subs came out. Is it a mucus plug? I don't feel pain but when baby is kicking, I felt thru my rectum and felt like pooping. Should I be alarmed? This my 2nd pregnancy, I don't have this problem from my first.

When is your gynae appointment? Maybe you can monitor if there’s any pain or bleeding first then let your gynae know during your check up.
