Twin Pregnancy G5P3

Currently am in Week 15 Day 1 .. kinda feeling a bit nauseous and sweating alot .. am also carrying a twin ... I simply cant wait to feel their movements and see them on the screen .. 20th Oct seems like far away .. hahaha ..

Congrats on your twins, that's exciting! The nausea and sweating at 15 weeks is pretty normal for twin pregnancies since your body is working extra hard, but do mention it to your PD or at the polyclinic just to be sure everything's on track. The good news is movements usually come around 18-20 weeks, so you're almost there, and your 20 Oct scan will be here before you know it honestly. Try to stay hydrated and eat small frequent meals in the meantime, it does help with the nausea.

Still nauseous at week 15

Is it normal to still be nauseated at every meal with minimal food intake at week 15?

Hang in there, you're definitely not alone! A lot of mums I know were still dealing with nausea around week 15, and some found it even got a bit worse before it settled, usually somewhere between 16 to 18 weeks. The tricky part is that minimal food intake can actually make it worse, so even though eating feels like the last thing you want to do, keeping something bland and easy to digest in your stomach, like crackers, bananas, or plain rice, does seem to help take the edge off for most people. Someone in my mum group mentioned that staying well hydrated made a real difference too, especially if you're not managing much food. That said, if the nausea is really intense or you're struggling to keep fluids down, it's worth flagging with your doctor or gynaecologist, they can check if you need any support and make sure everything's on track.

I’m 15weeks now and I have been feeling cramps around my womb on n off on a daily basis since 8weeks onwards. Both my gynae n TCM told me it’s bcos uterus expanding. So far no bleeding. Wondering anyone experiencing the same thing?

I had something similar around that time and it was quite unsettling, but my gynae also said it was just the uterus stretching as everything expands. Since both your doctor and TCM are on the same page and there's no bleeding, that's actually a good sign. That said, if the cramps ever feel sharper than before or if you do notice any bleeding, it's worth flagging to your gynae just to be sure. Many of us go through this in the first and second trimester, so you're definitely not alone.

sourish taste bud

any mummies here experiencing sourish/metallic taste bud after meals or even after eating fruits? how do yall overcome it?

I have this metallic taste since week 5/6, and still ongoing. I have learnt to accept it as it is, and just eat for survival lol. Bland food helps me to have lesser expectations on food taste since I can’t fully enjoy food anymore with this metallic taste and extreme food aversions

actually depends on the nurse or doctor that treat you. if you get a good one it good.

Constipation at 11 weeks

What’s the normal frequency of pooping in pregnancy? I have been popping once every 3-5 days and the tummy hurts in between… colicky ++

I’m experiencing this too! I spoke with my gynae and 3-5 days is an indication it’s constipation, so it’s best to be able to clear every 1-2 days. Increasing fibre and increasing water intake both don’t work for me. Former no effect, and latter too bloated and water taste horrible. I’m trying prune juice and it works. Also consult your gynae cause they can prescribe some stuffs to soften your stool and enable you to pass motion more. I’ll be trying that next.

How can working parents manage professional certification preparation?

Preparing for a certification exam while managing work and family responsibilities can be difficult. One practical approach is to break the syllabus into smaller topics and use practice questions to identify weak areas...

I ended up postponing my professional exam because first trimester is so rough for me and I’m just trying to survive lol. Completely not feasible for moms who have rough first trimester, so I would strongly recommend not committing to one until after pregnancy.

Feeling Lethargic

This is my 3rd pregnancy and it is different from the rest. I felt more lethargic and I just want to sleep. Feeling nausea and no appetite to eat at all. I dont feel like talking too. Do anyone else the same?

💯 resonate. I’m also feeling bloated all day, have a metallic taste in my mouth, super tired and just really trying to survive especially with work commitments…

Is there anyone staying with mother in law here? I believe there is a few. Does she talk discouraging words or reactions like it is a joke when you feel like vomiting or feel unwell when you are pregnant. I am feeling so stress up.

I hear you, this must be really tough especially when you're already dealing with pregnancy symptoms. Some MILs don't quite get how physically draining pregnancy is and brush it off, but your feelings are completely valid and what you're going through is real. It might help to have a calm chat with your husband first so he understands how her comments are affecting you, then maybe he can gently talk to her about being more supportive during this time. In the meantime, try to lean on friends or your own mum who do understand what you're going through, because you deserve that support right now. Hang in there.
