Threaten miscarriage

Diagnose w threathlen miscarriage at wk6...spotting for consectively 6 days (only when urinate n wiping) ...baby has heartbeat based on scan 2 days ago...anyone has similar experience n deliver a healthy baby?

At which week to start buying baby items

Im currently 6 months, 24 weeks, is it too early to start buying baby stuff like baby clothes, skincare, detergent, and the big items like stroller etc? When did you mummies start buying your newborn stuff ? #firsttimemom

Hi mummies, anyone with GDM successfully give birth via VBAC? i am at 32 weeks now and was informed that my baby is at the bigger side so the gynae i met was informing of the risks but was still open to me trying vbac. Would like to hear if there are others with similar experience? Thank u!

Oh gosh, I totally understand the mix of hope and worry you're feeling right now, I had GDM with my second and the anxiety around baby's size and delivery options was very real! My own baby was measuring on the larger side too, and my gynae kept a close eye on me from around 36 weeks, so I know how much those growth scan numbers can stress you out. From what I've heard among mums going through similar situations, a big baby with GDM does make VBAC trickier but not impossible, the key seems to be having a gynae who is genuinely experienced with both GDM and VBAC cases, and who will monitor you very closely heading into the later weeks. My friend delivered at NUH and said their team was quite thorough with GDM management, with specialists from different areas working together rather than just the gynae alone, which gave her a lot of confidence. One thing mums have mentioned is that GDM babies are often recommended to be delivered from 38 weeks rather than waiting close to 40 weeks, so do clarify with your doctor what the plan is if things progress or if baby keeps measuring large, as that timeline really affects your VBAC window. Some mums have gone on to have successful VBACs even with a bigger baby, while others found that the size meant their doctors eventually advised otherwise closer to delivery, so it really does depend on how things develop week by week. The most important thing is staying in close communication with your gynae and asking all your questions openly, because your situation is unique to you. Wishing you all the best, you've got this!

Raw oysters during pregnancy?

Hi mummies :< this might seem like a very small problem to my friends, family and even husband, maybe to some of you too.. but i have been craving raw oysters every single day for the past 2-3 months. i am currently 21 weeks and i have been crying/breaking down several times the past few days whenever i get hungry because the temptation to eat it is just so strong, might be hormones messing me up too but i have been very depressed honestly. are there any substitutes i can replace it with? similar texture/taste? ive never been a fan of cooked oysters, i would throw up whenever i eat them, even before pregnancy too. so i was wonder if there are substitutes or other foods i can replace raw oysters with.. please help mummies, i know its a small issue to just endure for another 5 months, but i am desperate

Go ahead and hav 2-3 oysters. But but have it at a reputable restaurant. I had sashimi when I was preg bcos I was super craving for it. But only had a few pieces. My LO turn out fine, no issues.

How often are baby fairs?

I only just reach 2nd trimester so still really early, but was wondering how often are baby fairs? E.g if I’m at 5 months and there’s a baby fair, should I wait for a later one? Thanks! #firsttimemom

I think it's once every 2-3 mths. Month of May jus had a baby fair, next one is in July

Belly wrap/corset

Im a ftm and i have a question about wearing those belly wrap/corset. Do you wear corset as soon as youre back home from delivery and do you wear it everyday whole day or few hours a day ? Does it really help flatten our tummy faster ? #firsttimemom

Heard about some pantang but not v sure so wanted to check! First baby so more anxious generally..

Nope, I dont at all. Ill just visit her when she's back home after confinement or during confinement.
