MIL issue

I'm sahm and raise my daughter alone (my parents live oversea). Mil will come by once or twice a week to visit. On the weekend I want it to be our family time but she always want to go to where ever we go. I didn't really like that because she will do thing I don't like. If I tell her , dont let my daughter watch tv (1.5 years old), she will say never mind la. If I tell her, dont give her snack because its soon time for lunch, she will secretly give and my daughter is difficult eater. So now problem is husband and I had very big arguement about her tagging along with us. We visit his parents every weekend for a meal. But that seem not enough. Today we had a big fight over this issue and he said "I should ask you if you like my mother first before we marry!". It broke my heart hearing that. What should I do?

Woman robbed and beaten up outside Punggol flat

Parents, please take note. A woman was robbed and beaten up outside her HDB flat in Punggol on 18 Oct 2018. The incident happened at Waterway Cascadia, Block 315A Punggol Way, at around 2 pm. The suspect was arrested within 3 hours. The woman suffered bruises to her face, and photos show her in a wheelchair. There is a bandage on the left side of her head too. Blood was seen on her jeans and on the floor. Police has advised the public to be alert and watchful. Avoid wearing too much jewellery or carrying a lot of money. Police has also advised to, "Carry a shrill alarm with you and use it to scare off the culprit or to attract the attention of other members of the public." Do take care, mums and dads.

Father rapes own daughter :(

I just read the most terrible news. A father raped his own daughter, and her family refused to believe her. Her mum said that she was lying and making things up. This happened in Singapore, in Punggol. The court finally found the father guilty. If we don't trust our own children, will they ever trust us?

3 Minute Rule with Kids

Mummies, do you follow the 3 minute rule with your kids? I just read about it now. It seems our children will start trusting us more and feel more secure with us if we follow this 3 minute rule. It's very simple. Make sure to spend those special and crucial 3 minutes exclusively with your child every day when you come back home from work/outside and after you pick him from school/childcare. Hug and talk to them and remember to be at the same eye level as your child. I'm going to start doing this from today. What do you all feel about this rule?

Maternity leave - Singapore vs Hong Kong

Hk has just decided to extend its maternity leave from 10 weeks to 14 weeks, however women will only make 4/5th of their normal salary. We are so lucky in Singapore to get 16 weeks fully paid maternity leave!

PCOS & TCM

Hi mummies ?? I have PCOS and just started chinese meds last month. My cycles for the past 6 months are between 22-30 days. Average around 26 days. I usually have cramps a week before my period is due. I’m on day 29 today. Still no cramps. I’ve been feeling really thirsty these few days, and i’m using the toilet a lot more too. I tested on cd 26 evening cause i just feel really weird?? Tested this evening too, also bfn. But i did drink quite a lot of water before testing, and i only held my pee for around 3 hours. Not sure if this could affect the results?

First time having sex after baby....

Stress! It’s been 9 weeks and we are having sex tomorrow. Feel shy about my body and dunno how to look sexy. Any advice of what lingerie to wear? How is this one? Planning to go lasenza later today to buy something new. I used to last time be a model. Pls don’t judge okay?
