How often to bathe newborn

1. How often do we bathe our newborn ? Is it everyday? If everyday, how many times a day? And do we use gentle body wash @ every bathe? 2. Do we need to bathe our baby when they puke over their body/outfit or just use wet tissue/water to wipe it ? 3. When they poop, heard its advisable to wash their bum instead of always using wet tissue, for that do i need to use only water or also use a gentle body wash ? #firsttimemom #firstbaby

Good #paediatric in east area #jaundice

Dear mums, My baby is having jaundice, doctor kept ask to check the jaundice level by blood rest injection on his feet,like 3x already. Was thinking to change doctor. Can advise for any good paediatrician in east area for new born? I was referred one at Paragon but too exp n too far. Thank you. #paediatric #jaundicebaby

Newborn pacifier recommendation

Im a FTM, and starting to prepare baby stuff. I know theres alot of people saying pacifier is not good for babies and to not introduce it. But those mummies that have used pacifiers on their LO, which brand is good ? The ones that won’t affect baby’s teeth growth/that wont make their teeth crooked if that makes sense. Just want to buy for standby incase i need it. #firsttimemom #advicepls

Anyone here placed baby cot on platform bed?

My room has a platform bed area and little space at the floor area. Wondering if anyone here also had this same problem?

I had the same situation when my girl was born, and I did consider putting the cot on the platform area too. The plus side is more floor space, but the concern is whether the cot sits completely stable and level on the platform, because any wobble is a safety risk. I ended up just rearranging the room furniture instead, since I felt better having the cot on flat ground lah. If you do try it, just make sure the platform surface is fully even and the cot legs are secure before baby goes in.

Oh I totally understand this struggle, our room in our HDB flat is not big at all, and when baby came along we had to really think hard about how to arrange everything! We actually ended up raising our bed slightly on a low platform just to get some extra storage drawers underneath, and it made such a difference to how the room felt and functioned. From what I've generally heard around, a platform bed setup done well can really free up the floor space nicely, some families even get custom built-ins done with shelves for toys and books and a little study corner all in one go, so every inch is working hard for you. The key thing I've heard is to make sure there are proper guard rails if the platform is raised, especially once baby starts moving around, safety really comes first. Some mums love how it transforms a small room, though a few did mention that the initial customisation cost can add up, so it depends on your budget and how long-term you want the solution to be. Kid diagnosed with hfmd

App hanging a lot and takes too long to load

Hi everyone, Is it just me or recently the app is hanging a lot and takes too long to load. Recently, every time I open the app, it will keep loading and sometimes it will say ‘request timed out’ Anyone else facing this ?

Chicken pox 6 month old baby

Hello mummies, any of you experience with baby having chicken pox? My baby was exposed to it and I'm worried if it will be serious

At that age, babies can sometimes have a harder time with it, so it's good you're keeping a close eye on her. The main things to watch for are itchy red spots and blisters that usually start on the face and body, along with fever, loss of appetite, and general fussiness, and since it spreads through coughing and sneezing, keeping baby isolated from others is really important during this time. A friend of mine went through this with her infant and said the key was just managing the discomfort, keeping little fingernails trimmed short so baby doesn't scratch and cause infection, and staying in close contact with the doctor throughout. Do bring baby to see a paediatrician as soon as you notice any symptoms, especially since 6 months is quite young, the doctor can advise on whether any treatment or extra monitoring is needed for her specific situation.

Give both formula and fresh milk

My daughter just turned 1 yr old. Since she is fussy eater, I'm still giving her formula milk. But can I give both formula milk & fresh milk..? As in maybe 2 feeds of formula milk n 1 feed of fresh milk per day.#advicepls #firsttimemom

Can, but have to make sure no constipation. I gave my LO fresh milk + bm (Not mixed) and she had really bad constipation even when we switched brands. When I changed her to formula + bm, no issues with her poop.
