My 5-month-old fusses when we don't bring her out so we we end up going to places like the mall, the park, and the zoo everyday. Even the supermarket seems to delight her. I wonder though - is there such a thing as too much simulation for a young baby?

Kids nowadays are very inquisitive and it's a good sign. They learn things fast. It doesn't mean that when they fuss and u need to being them out. Don't make it a habit else you are the one who will suffer in the end. Bringing them occasionally is good enough. Engage thwm in their toys or something that they might fancy at home is better than outside.

bb has a birth mark at the ankle area. quite big patch. like blue black. will it be visible as they grow up? afraid will be ugly for girls...

it will fade as they grow older ... my #1 boy butt have a big patch.. and now he is 2+ yo.. getting lighter barely noticeable nw

I rock my baby to sleep or my wife nurses him till he sleeps. However the moment we put him into the cot, he wakes up and starts screaming. Then we rock him to sleep and when we put him into the cot, he continues screaming. The cycle repeats till we are very shag. Anyone has ideas how to solve this?

colicky period? mine was exactly like yours. I swaddled and baby wear. and it really helps bb to zzz well and longer

when bb at home, she finish the bottle at one go. when bb at ifc, she stops half way and need to warm bottle to finish the balance. (fm in ifc and bm at home. sometimes fm at home)

hmm.. could it be that there are more distractions at the ifc? Sounds like she is alright with the taste of the milk.

Why do babies love being carried? Is there actually a science to it? Every time My 10month old see me, she drops everything and crawl to me, yearning to be carried.

They feel safe and secured when being carried. They also feel comfortable due to the mother's body heat.

Was there any instance that your child put something in his/her nose? What was it? How did you soothe his crying and how did you plucked the thing out?

Hi Felisilda! Well, my nephew once had a toy soldier stuck up his nose! I used tweezers to pluck it out but I first, I dripped a bit of baby oil into his nostril to slide it out easier. Hope this helps!

Choosing a boys name

How do you usually decide on your child's name if both are different genders. my #1 is girl and I'm expecting a boy this time. #1 name is Clarabelle. Would you choose a name that begins with the alphabet 'C' for your #2 or? Any nice names to suggest for baby boys?

Up to u depending on your preference. My first is going to be a boy and I’m naming him Linden. If he ever has a brother, it’ll be Lindsen or Lindsey for sister

Library :) Takes a little searching, but it helps if you know the title/author already! I've seen several of those award-winning ones available, and many many board books too :)

Any parents have given flu vaccination to your LO at 7 months old? Is it effective ? We are thinking of giving to our LO as he will be going to infant care next month. I know the cons of infant care is that LO will fall sick easily . So besides pumping up on his nutrients intake from solid food and milk, I thought of flu jab. PD says can give from 6 months and above. He has taken the rotavirus jab too .

Strongly recommended. Have been in IFC since 3 months until now in childcare at 23 months. The number of times my girl avoided major flu outbreak was all thanks to her vaccine. Even now when my Wife and I sick for 3 weeks with serious flu, my girl escaped with minor symptoms. Trust me. U can't go wrong on this!
