How do you convince your toddlers to drink their meds especially if it's an antibiotic? My child doesn't take it even if I mix it with other drinks.

Try "giving" it to your child's favorite stuffed toy and showing that drinking the medicine makes the toy become "better" while explaining that medicine makes your child and the toy feel better.

If a child is born with certain weakness or disability whose fault it is?

Its no ones fault. Sometimes few things are beyond are control. No logic or reasoning works for it. One can "blame" the chromosomes if at all it is chromosomal aberration. Otherwise, its just destiny.

Is it a norm for a 8 month old baby to put toys into their mouth? I read that that is how baby senses n explore the things around them. Their mouth is like their senses . Is it true? Cos my baby will be gg to infant care this fri and I worry that by putting toys etc into his mouth , he will fall sick easily. How to prevent him from putting toys into his mouth ?

I'm feeling emotional these few days cos I'll be returning to work next week after my maternity and no pay leave. Hubby said it will be tight on family financial if I continue to go on no pay leave .. So it is even more impossible for me to quit my job to be a SAHM . We are sending our Lo to infant care .. N I'm already feeling the separation anxiety :( I wish to take care of my baby by myself too but hubby thinks it is too tight financially . We also have another elder child (5 years old), so many mouths to feed .. Sigh.. Been feeling depressed too .. Anybody in similar situation as me ? How can I feel better ? :(

My baby gets constantly constipated. Should I start meds or try the natural way of pressing her stomach and feeding her lots of water

Hi, constipation can be a serious problem for new-born babies. If any of the below given home remedies don't help your baby's constipation, you should take the baby to the doctor right away: Remedy1: Increase your baby’s fluid intake -- offer the breast or formula more frequently than you have been, up to every two hours. Remedy2: Try using a glycerine suppository. This is gently placed into your baby's anus and helps lubricate stool. Remedy3: Try massaging your baby’s tummy in a circular motion close to their navel. This may offer some comfort to your baby and help promote a bowel movement. Remedy4: Give your baby a warm bath. This may help him to relax enough to allow the passage of stool.

Yes! It's actually better for kid's toothpaste to contain fluouride. Maximum of 1000 ppm fluoride toothpast would be safe.

My boy is turning 6 months on Monday. At what month should I make him use a walker? Or should I make him use a walker? I've read that they're not ideal for babies.

Should one use walker for the kid to ease walking, or that's a kind of spoon-feeding and should let kid learn to walk on his own? My mother-in-law is against using walker for my kid. Please suggest!

Hi, actually, using too much of walker may delay your baby's walking independently. Because the babies can get around too easily, their urge to move across the floor is satisfied, and many of them will not undertake the important task of crawling, creeping, scooting, or hitching. This stage is important for developing strength and coordination. Also sometimes baby walkers get dangerous because they give babies extra speed, extra height, and access to many hazards.
