Should one use walker for the kid to ease walking, or that's a kind of spoon-feeding and should let kid learn to walk on his own? My mother-in-law is against using walker for my kid. Please suggest!

Hi, actually, using too much of walker may delay your baby's walking independently. Because the babies can get around too easily, their urge to move across the floor is satisfied, and many of them will not undertake the important task of crawling, creeping, scooting, or hitching. This stage is important for developing strength and coordination. Also sometimes baby walkers get dangerous because they give babies extra speed, extra height, and access to many hazards. From which month teether can be given?

The vast majority of babies sprout their first tooth when they're between 4 and 7 months old. An early developer may get his first white cap as early as 3 months, while a late bloomer may have to wait until he's a year old or more. So depending upon when the tooth sprouts, teether can be given to the baby :)

How can I teach my 6-month-old early literacy? I just let him watch Your Baby Can Read and we read books as well. Are there any other tips and tricks?

I've read that early literacy cannot be best learned by use of gadgets like laptops, iPads or TVs. By simple identification, you can enhance your baby's literacy. Say for example, while taking a bath, when you wash his/her head, say "wash wash baby's head" or if it's his tummy, "wash wash baby's tummy." So on and so forth. Just talk and talk and identify things, your baby can learn. Don't forget to read books!

My baby was fair at birth now is dark. How can I make him fair again?

The babies skin tone changes after birth. There is a phase where the babies skin tone becomes dull. Also, complexion is purely genetic. Don't apply anything. It will be better on its own.

Has anyone tried visiofocus pocket size baby thermometer ? Do you recommend it?

I haven't used it personally but I have seen it in action and it's pretty cool. It is the only thermometer in the world that projects the temperature directly on the forehead or other surfaces. It quiet, none of those beeping sounds when the temperature is ready to be read and it doesn't touch the skin so you can use it when baby's sleeping without waking them up.

At what time should I feed my almost 6-month-old baby? We're about to start solids. I'm wondering if it's better for him to eat at morning and lunch or should it be lunch and dinner? Your thoughts?

Our pediatrician advise to have the baby's meal in the morning for a week. Then add another meal around lunch time the next week.

Hi all my LO is 13 weeks old and DL breastfed. Had tried to intro bottles since 6 weeks old but she hates them and refuse to drink from them. Bottles are fed by my husband. She only took some milk from them when she is drowsy ( during night feeds).. Tried nuk latex teat, medela calma, dr brown's but she just refuse. Only manage to dream feed on nuk 2 to 3 times. Even when I am not present, she also rejects them. Wondering how cuz she will need the bottle when I go back to work. Heard some parents let them cry till hungry hrs later then they take the bottle.. do I really have to do that? i usually wait an hr..

my girl only settled into her 3rd set of bottles. from avent to pigeon to finally tommee tippee. but sadly she now prefers the bottle to my breast. woes of ftwm :(

How old was your baby when you started feeding him or her meat? Is 12 months still too early?

We started at around 10 months and I gave chicken first. After that, I tried offering red meats like fish, beef and pork.
