CMPA baby. How long does a milk protein stays in breastmilk? Even after pumping out the milk.

Hi mummies, So PD has confirmed tt my bby has CMPA. Today is my first day going on dairy free. Would it be better if i continue to breastfeed bby or better to pump & discard my milk for a few days before i breastfeed bby? I tried breastfeeding bby today & bby pass out loose stools due to the allergy. How long does a cow milk protein stay in breastmilk? If i pumped out, does it make a difference?

Hello, I suspected that my baby also has CMPA due to his bloody stool. May I know if your PD ran any test to your baby? Can any PD do this?

How to manage breast milk if going overseas without baby

I am looking to travel without my baby for 1 week. As it is my first time, appreciate any advice on how to manage pumping and storing of BM, including transporting back to SG safely. Flight time is 8 hours, and flying SQ.

Baby bf for so long

Is it normal for my 2 week old to want to latch non stop?

Yes it’s normal as they want to find comfort from their mother. Sometimes they might not be drinking milk but using our nipples as human pacifier 🥲

Reject breast milk?

Hi mommies. My baby is mixed breast milk and formula fed. Not latching. When he is at my mil place he is more formula fed and when he’s back at home he is full breast milk. Recently he is rejecting my thawed breast milk. And now he is a little rejecting my freshly pumped milk. Anyone experience the same? Any solutions?

probably he is too used to formula milk taste. usually if mixed feeing it's formula fed in the middle of the night so that baby overall is still taking breastmilk throughout the day

Breast pump flange size

Hi mummies, I’d like to ask if anyone can share usually around when is a good time to measure our nipples to get the right flange size for breast pump? I hear from some mummies sharing that the nipples can grow quite big in size during breast feeding, hence the size measured during pregnancy is not accurate. Is it true?

Fussy baby at breast due to previous choking incident

Has anyone experienced a fussing baby at breast due to baby choking/coughing from a previous breastfeed? My 1.5 month old baby seems to remember a choking incident (although v light, with slight coughing). The choking is likely due to a fast letdown. My baby now fusses a lot/refuse to eat from that side of the breast which caused the choking. What are the ways you have continued to encourage baby to feed without fussing? Would using a nursing pillow help to reduce choking incidents?

if it's due to fast let down, I'll suggest to make your boob letdown first then offer to your bub. It will reduce/eliminate choking, cuz I had fast letdown with my first born too! Nursing pillows don't reduce choking, but will make latching more enjoyable for both mama and bub.

When to buy breast pump?

Hi there, as a FTM currently 20 weeks pregnant, I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to breastfeed or not, but would like to give it my best shot. I’m wondering whether it’s worth investing in a good breast pump that will cost a couple of hundred? Or should I just wait and see if I’m able to breastfeed before spending the money on one?

When do you stop breastfeeding and why?

I'm breastfeeding for 4 months now and going to back to work very soon. It'll be hard to pump every 3 hours so how do you manage pumping in office? What's the frequency like if you work 9 to 6? Thank you

Stop breastfeeding pill

After take the pill why my breast is still pain full today is day 2. Will it get better for tmr? I feel so engorged. #pleasehelp

It will be leaking and very painful but it gets better , hang in there 🥲
