Hello, currently 5 days overdue and Ive been having quite consistent Lower abdominal cramps since 1am (every at least 15mins) Called up nuh but they say to just monitor since I mentioned pain level was about 3/4. It’s 3pm now and the contractions are still gg on for about 1min everytime, frequency between 10-15 mins and they’re abit more painful then the morning ones. However during my last checkup 3 days ago I was still 0cm dilated. Dr did do a “massage” to the cervix. Shld I be gg to the hospital soon?anyone has had similar experience? #firsttimemom #pleasehelp

I would head off to NUH without hesitation due to the constant pain. Could be mild contractions/braxton hicks. Request to be on observation, monitor baby heartbeat, any signs of contractions, checking cervix and level of amniotic fluid. Hopefully they will listen to you.

Piles issue during third trimester

Hi fellow mommies, if you are facing piles issue during your last trimester, please visit your gynea immediately to get a painkiller cream (fyi, my gynea is from kkh), as this will help to ease the pain within few hours. Please do not waste time visiting polyclinic / specialist clinic as the doctors there will dare not prescribe any high dose medication to pregnant woman, even if they did the medication won't be as effective. Hope the information above will be beneficial to those who are currently facing this issue :)

Hospital deposit

My edd is on 05/02. I'm planning to give birth in KKH and choosing the A class ward. Anyone knows how much i'll have to deposit upfront? i'm singaporean

40 weeks + 1 I have no signs of labour yet but I have an appt tmr. should I opt to be induced?

Depends on your gynae and what's best advice. Maybe can check if you have dilate and do membrane sweep. I was previously at NUH for my first, I was given a membrane sweep at 40 weeks and I was also 3cm dilated. Given a week grace period before inducing at 41 weeks. I give birth the next day.

39 weeks and 6 days

This is my 1st pregnancy and I am feeling overwhelmed by waiting, there was a light yellow discharge for two days, and have been having little discharge, but I don’t have any bloody show, I’m tired and exhausted from having this baby in me, I feel so heavy and uncomfortable and I’ve been crying a lot for past few days. Like randomly cry throughout the day. My emotions are at the peak. My due is on 1st, but if nothing happens and if I have to wait for 41 weeks to be induced, I have very little help as my helper is going to leave coming month, and I won’t have much help during my recovery, I am so worried.

Hi mummy, hang in there :') I totally understand how you feel! The feeling of just being so done. If you can, try to go for long walks (that helped me a lot) and talk to your baby 👶 Praying that all goes well for you ❤️

Week 40 and not labouring

I was expecting a normal delivery, but I am wondering, if let’s say, I have not gone into labour yet, can I request for a C sect at week 40? Has anyone done that? Currently I’m under NUH.

I have not done a C sect for my first though I exceed EDD. I give birth my first at 41 weeks 1 day. They did membrane sweep at 40 weeks while I am 3cm dilating. I was given a week grace period before inducing at 41 weeks. Usually they will ask to go natural then you can decide on other birth plan. However if you have a gynae best to discuss with them.

My 11 month still don’t know how to crawl

My baby was born with neck tightness so it may caused delay along the way. But now her neck and head is way better but she still doesn’t crawl or pull to stand. Keep going therapy and treatment but the doc say is not necessary to crawl but if don’t pull to stand by 11-12 month it shows developmental delay. I don’t know what to do. Each baby have their own milestone isn’t it?

My elder daughter skipped crawling and started walking at 11mo. My second daughter started crawling only at 13 mo and walking at 16 mo. So I guess it really depends on individual. Don’t worry! She will get there!

Third Pregnancy - First time exceeded 37weeks bum in tummy.

This is my first time exceeding and Im currently at 38weeks 2days with no sign. My first was born at 37weeks 6days naturally waterbroke at home & pushed out within 45mins when in SGH. My second born at 37weeks 4days cause upon checkup, doc said im already dialated 4cm hence laboured early and pushed out after 4hr of contraction started. (Total in labour 12hrs cause no sign for the first 9hrs). Both experienced no inducing and normal V delivery. I am very worried. Last week I was only 37weeks 2days and doc said Im only 1cm stretch. Baby is good and normal. Waterbag lvl too seems normal. This 31st will be my checkup and I really hope my cervix dilated at least 4cm-5cm or more. Any mommy facing the similarity and what adv did your doc share? What options etc that we will be given? Do share your experience.

Hi, I don’t have the same experience but would like to ask for tips on how or what you did to be in such short labour without inducing? I’m currently at 38 weeks and a first time mom.

Any Mommies have tried using TENS machine during labour at NUH or KKH as a subsidy patient? Do i have to ask permission to use it, if i have my own? Hope to hear responses Thank you!

Hi mum, some mums do bring a TENS machine to KKH and it’s usually fine as long as you inform the midwives when you arrive. Just note they do continuous monitoring and IV line, so they will help you position it properly, but do be prepared that it can depend a bit on the staff on duty.

Feeling anxious

Help! I’m currently at 38 weeks 2 days and it’s been 2 nights i keep on having tummy aches wanting to poop but very little come out and before i poop, my vagina will leak like watery discharge and my panties will get wet. I don’t know if that’s my water bag or just pee cause it’s transparent and watery. I’m a first time mum, I don’t know what to do. Anyone feeling the same or have experienced this? I’m tested positive for GBS so i’m worried about my baby. #FTM

You should be calling the hospital and telling them what happened. Then request a scan to check on your amniotic fluid. It might be leaking. Don't wait.
