Hi mummies, my LO is 10months. He still wakes up every night to sleep on top of me (for comfort). Sometimes he would cry really loud as if he got scared but will instantly stop the moment i carry and lie him down on my body. What does it mean? Is it night terrors? #adviceappreciated #firstmom

Aiyah don't worry, my neighbour's baby was exactly like this at 10 months, her PD told her it's most likely separation anxiety plus the 10-month sleep regression, not night terrors, because night terrors babies usually won't calm down so fast when you carry them. Someone in my mum WhatsApp group also mentioned all the new skills like pulling to stand and crawling actually mess up their sleep big time at this age, so the brain very "busy" lah. Should pass in a few weeks once the developmental leap settles!

Induce at week 39 or 40

This is my second pregnancy. My first was a natural labour without induction(baby came around week 39 + 2days). My gynae mentioned that if there are no signs of labour this week, he would recommend induction. At my last appointment, he checked and said my cervix is still closed. I’m feeling quite worried about the risks involved. Has anyone had a second pregnancy where they were successfully induced even though the cervix was still closed?

I had 2 pregnancies, first was natural, second I got induced at 39+ even though cervix still closed. I was worried too, but my gynae did cervical ripening first, then started labour. Took some time (almost a day), but I still delivered vaginally, no issues. From what I understand, quite common for second pregnancy to need a bit of “help” even if first was smooth. If your gynae recommends it, usually means it’s considered safe. Maybe just check what method they’ll use and how long they’ll wait. I felt the same anxiety before, but turned out okay for me.

Is spinal block or GA better for csec ?

Hi mummies,I am going through a second csec next year . My previous time was via spinal block but I could feel the cut (no pain but got the feeling and the pulling of baby ,quite painful) , next year going through another csec ,is it better if I opt for GA ?Are there any risk ? I am really scared #pleasehelp

Pregnancy faint line

Can anyone tell me if you can see a 2nd faint line? Tested again the next day, no 2nd line at all. Should i wait a week to test again?

Pregnancy faint line

I think you can try to test again one week later and read your result accordingly to the suggested timing. Test using your first urine of the day too.

Gynae Recommendation Needed

Hi, im just 6 weeks along. I would like to know more information from different Dr from different recommendations. Like if they provide any packages for the check up, price&etc.

Which hospital are you looking at? Do you prefer female or male gynae?

Feedback needed!!

Hi! Has anyone been thru the pregnancy with Dr Woo Bit Hwa from Thomson Women’s Clinic Tiong Bahru? Need some information before deciding if i should go to him. Thank You!

I didn’t use Dr Woo personally but my colleague did 😊 She said he’s quite experienced, straightforward and reassuring during pregnancy. Not the super chatty type, but she felt safe under his care which honestly matters a lot. I think with gynaes it really depends on whether you like a more warm/chatty style vs efficient/direct style 😅 Maybe can try one consult first and see if the vibe suits you

Period or implantation bleeding

I just found out im pregnant because i missed my period this month. But to track my edd my last period was only half a day. It did not come across my mind that the last "period" might be just implantation bleeding. Now I am unsure. #pregnancy #Needadvice #implantationbleeding

Do take a pregnancy test or arrange an appointment with a gynae to do an ultrasound to confirm if you’re pregnant. Implantation bleeding should be pink in colour.

Is Dr Madeleine Tan in TMC good?

Hi fellow mummies, just wondering if any mummies here has any reviews on Dr Madeleine Tan in TMC? Just found out I’m pregnant recently and would like to know if she is good🙂 can’t find much info about her🙂 many thanks!🙏

Not many reviews floating around for her but she’s super experienced, been in private practice since 1980 and was previously at KKH. She’s a Fellow of RCOG (London) so her credentials are solid. Sometimes the less talked about gynaes are just cos they have a loyal patient base that doesn’t post much online haha. Maybe can try booking one consult first to see if you vibe with her before committing? Congrats on the pregnancy btw!
