surviving without family as a teen mom .

i just want to share my story a little bit . im 18 , working and schooling . 2 weeks ago i found out i was pregnant , everyone thought i was crazy that im happy i have a little me growing inside of me . But once i give birth , i will be moving out . im quite lost . my mom said “Either you abort so you dont shame our family or keep and you will no longer be part of this family .” Anyone reading might think im crazy for still wanting to keep my baby . but this is what i needed and been looking for in my life . Any advice would be good , please no shame or hate :)z #firstTime_mom

*hugs* you're a really strong woman at your age. Perhaps your mom was just saying it out of anger as she still needs more time to accept it. But however if it turns out otherwise, you can start by calling msf for their advice and see how they can help you financially. All the best to you

How to get a doctor's appointment for accurate reading of how far along in pregnancy?

I recently found out Im pregnant from doing blood test but the blood test does not indicate how many weeks I am along. This is my first time experiencing and I've asked chat gpt, from date of my LMP, I should be 7weeks but I don't know how accurate is that. So, should I get a doctor's appointment to find out? How does a doctor find out? Through ultrasound scan? Thank you very much!

Get yourself an appointment with the OBGYN (not GP). Usually they’ll start seeing you from Weeks 8 onwards so now’s a good time to start looking which OBGYN you want :) your fetus may be too small for normal ultrasound to detect so likely they’ll do a transvaginal ultrasound during early pregnancy to see your fetus. Alcohol concerns

I had alcohol yesterday at a work event that was planned long ago and today I did a test since my period hasn't come for close to a week. The pregnancy kit shows faint line. If I am confirmed pregnant, should I be worried about the alcohol yesterday? :(

It’s okay! Don’t worry! Just avoid from now onwards! One year ago, I did not know I was pregnant as well and had 15-20 slices of sashimi at a hotel buffet. Baby is safe and sound 😊 my baby is born on June 2024.

Herbal soup (十全大补汤）

Accidentally drank 2 bowls of herbal soup when 4 weeks pregnant because didn’t know that I was already pregnant! Will it affect the growth of baby significantly? Worried!
