Any tips to help with morning sickness?

I have a very bad morning sickness. Started vomiting since week6. Whenever I eat or even drink water, it will trigger vomit. Gynae prescribed bonjesta to me and it does help for the first week. However, it seems like it doesn’t help anymore. Anyone mummies here got any tips to share? Many thanks in advance!

my gynae advised to drink ginger tea when I had nausea.can try it

Hi guys could you help an anxious mummy out. I had a chemical pregnancy once and miscarriage before I'm now on my 6 weeks however I notice a light pink spotting and a little bit of blood clump when I wipe. I'm also experiencing light cramps. Is it normal? Or is it another miscarriage? Please advice

u should consult a gynae if u're worried and need advice. He/she will b able to assess your condition better

Any Malaysian PR having check up/giving birth in KKH? Do you open pink book at MY too? or can we open pink book at MY and continue check up at KKH? I'm planning to give birth at KKH so can claim my husb medisave, but the cost every check up is really expensive 😅 Could not claim my cpf as i just being a PR this January 🥲. Tq everyone for your insight! #firsttimemom

Yes you can open pink book in MY! Just go to your nearest Klinik Kesihatan (KK) with your IC and pregnancy confirmation. It’s free for Malaysian citizens. Some mummies do both, open pink book in MY for the cheaper checkups when they balik kampung, then continue main checkups at KKH in SG. The two don’t conflict. Good tip to save cost: do your routine checkups at a MY KK or private clinic when you’re back (way cheaper), and only do the important scans and later trimester visits at KKH. As long as you deliver at KKH you can still claim hubby’s Medisave for the delivery. Just make sure to bring your KKH records when you go MY and vice versa so both sides know your history.

Infant Care awareness on express breastmilk

Has anyone send their babies to IFC with ebm in cooler box? can they manage? i can provide explanation too but do they have bandwidth to do that? what is the ratio between teacher and baby? #firsttimemum

Subsidied patient but follow through same consultant

8 weeks pregnant now, preivously had a etopic and miscarriage and follow through by this consultant under subsidied rate. Since pregnancy, I have been seeing this consultant as a subsidied patient though I have not requested. I am quite confused how this work. Is there a need to choose private if I want this consultant to follow through me?.

From what I understand, in Singapore if you’re under the subsidised route, technically you’re usually under a team of doctors and not guaranteed the same consultant every visit. That’s why subsidised patients often see different doctors depending on appointment schedules. But sometimes if your case is more complicated (like previous ectopic, miscarriage history, etc.), the hospital may still arrange follow-up with the same consultant more often for continuity. So it’s possible that’s why you’re still seeing the same doctor even though you’re under subsidised care. Usually if you specifically want to choose and guarantee a particular consultant throughout pregnancy and delivery, then yes, you’ll normally need to switch to the private/non-subsidised route and pay private rates. Honestly I think the easiest is to ask the clinic directly at your next appointment: “Am I currently under subsidised or private care, and if I’m subsidised, will I continue seeing this same consultant?” They can explain your exact arrangement because every hospital seems to handle it slightly differently. 2ndhand smoke on streets

Im in Week 5 and i found out that i was pregnant 3 days before my travel to China for holidays. I really regret coming for holidays now because there are so many smokers on streets. While I try to avoid outdoor as much, it is really tough to avoid completely. I put on mask whenever i'm walking on streets but i am still really worried for the effects. Anyone happened to have similar experience or advice? Sighhh. #worriedfirsttimemum

my neighbour smokes a lot and sometimes I am sitting in living room I can smell the smoke.It is better when I close the door although I can smell the smoke still. I can understand that it's tough to avoid smokers esp in China.Just try your best to stay indoors and if smokers are near you just go faraway while wearing the mask

Confinement Nanny Recommendations?

Hi all, my edd will be near cny next year and was told to be kiasu to book confinement nanny early. Im a first-time mom-to-be. Heard a lot of great (and horror) stories of nannies and am clueless of where to get one. I believe in word-of-mouth most... so will greatly appreciate if any of you can share your recommendations esp from good experiences. If anyone went for confinement centre instead of hiring a nanny, pls share too. Im open to options.

I engaged my nanny from MOT confinement nanny - Singapore on Facebook. A lot of mommies have shared and wrote reviews for each nanny. You can choose your nanny accordingly to your preference or post on the group by following the template. Better to book early as some nanny might not work over CNY so it might be harder to find.

When to inform?

Hello! At which week do yall start to inform your workplace about you being pregnant? I’m 5 weeks in, and will be having a major work event in the next 2 months.. so far I haven’t experience any morning sickness, but I’m worried if I start to experience it while it’s crunch time building up to the event..

i informed my manager the next week after i was tested positive because had some bleeding. then inform my HR at week 8 because i want to claim for company benefits 😃

Am I pregnant? Please help me!

Hi mummies! Just wondering if anyone has experienced this. My period is about 2 weeks late (I have a 35–40 day cycle). I took two PTs earlier — both were negative. Then one showed positive last week, but the next morning it was negative again. I did a blood test at the GP, also negative. Still no period and I’m feeling pregnancy symptoms. Could I have miscalculated my cycle (ovulation especially), or am I just not pregnant? Or is it chemical pregnancy?

I think you should try again a few days later.
