got one during my pregnancy mainly for reassurance between appointments 😅 Sometimes I just wanted to hear baby’s heartbeat when the next gynae visit felt so far away. It was quite useful for peace of mind, but I wouldn’t rely on it as a medical device. Especially in early pregnancy, it can be hard to find the heartbeat and that can sometimes cause more anxiety… If you’re thinking of getting one, just keep in mind that not finding the heartbeat doesn’t always mean something is wrong.
