I delivered at Thomson Medical Center, delivery was normal vaginal one with no complications :) I'd say that their service is really good, I'm a young single mother so I was worried that the staff would treat me differently because of that - but thankfully they didn't! They were really nice and talked to me throughout, even took note that I didn't want to get an epidural and reminded me not to when I asked for one - they also offered alternative pain relief which was why I took up the gas relief that helped a lot :) Even after giving birth, they are really attentive to your needs - helped me when I needed to pee and poop in bed (ooops) and even showed me how to clean up in the washroom before we got discharged. They also have great food, didn't sign for their confinement meals but I had some meals while waiting to be discharged there so ... it was great :x

Can I ask how much was your delivery fee?

Mount Alvernia Hospital. I delivered my baby there in Aug last year and I am really happy with their service and food. Mount Alvernia is pro breastfeeding and they encourage mommies to breastfeed their babies immediately after birth. They also provide complimentary lactation consultations after giving birth. Even their nurses are very eager in providing breastfeeding tips during my stay there. Moreover, I felt that their nurses are very experienced in delivery and provided useful guidance.

Just delivered my 3rd bb at Mt A. The service is great and the nurses are very caring & experiencd. Food is OK as I'm not a picky eater. I'm not a Catholic but I find peace there. I ever had a day surgery at TMC. I find it very commercialise and nurses are not as caring as Mt A. And not sure why I feel very frustrated when I'm there, and just hope to be discharge ASAP after my day surgery.

Thomson is good, if you and your baby have no complication. Mount A is better for people with complication as they have full facilities if anything happen. Usually Gynae will advise too. If everything smooth, Thomson is good, as it's clean and spacious not like old old type.

I don't think Mount A can be regarded as equipped with full facilities. The one that is eligible in carrying this name should be KKH, with is comprehensive enough to handle high risk pregnancy with complications.

is it safe to do light exercises? because, today, mark my 9 weeks of pregnancy and my doctor refer me to dietitian next month due to my bmi is 30. can i just do brisk walk or just follow the diet given by the dietitian next month? its my first pregnancy btw. 😁 need advice mommies..

Did you still hire a confinement nanny when you ordered confinement food from TMC ???

I delivered all my babies at NUH and actually I find NUH's services are wonderful. Most of my friends vote for Mount Alvernia hospital for delivery as they like the environment and nurses there.

My wife delivered in Mt Alvernia . The nurse is helpful and knowledgeable. My wife commented that the confinement food the hospital provided is good and delicious. ;)

i delivered my SG50 baby at Thomson Medical! The rooms are spacious & I like the quietness at the hospital. at least i get proper undisturbed rest by visitors.
