Tips on bloatedness & weight gain!

Hello mommies & mommies-to-be, I need advice on how to reduce bloatedness! I am at week 5 going on 6, and my stomach is HUGE as I’m super bloated. I have tried peppermint tea, drinking warm water when I wake up, but to not much avail. Also don’t wish to apply ointment as my older age makes this pregnancy much higher risk so prefer to be cautious. In addition, any tips on slowing down weight gain? I go for daily hour-long walks (as trying to refrain from spinning though I used to spin 3x a week) and eating fruits, cutting all sweet intakes. My first gynae appt is unfortunately only in 2 weeks so need advice to help me through till then! #firstmom #pregnancy #askmommies

Hello, I’m currently on week 26; looking back to my week 5/6 I want to admit that I also have a small bump that felt like bloated a bit. We all different bodies and genetics but as for me I was observing through it was gone just by some time later and then it was repeated twice on other weeks but after it was gone I just came to conclusion that maybe it’s the way how my body is forming that pregnancy: bloated for some days then calming down and forming a better shape. I never cut fruits though; I really enjoyed kiwis and pomegranates that time; don’t be harsh to urself maybe it’s just hormones doing that work in the best way.

Our bodies all unique some might gain more or less and the bump might show up sooner or only after month 7 so I decided not to compare to anyone but just follow a nutritious good meals for myself and a baby and keep on physical activities as before the pregnancy since all good and no restrictions ( I wasn’t doing too much, just mostly home exercise- now just cut specific core exercises and taking it slower if needed concentrating on a good breathing) .

Forgot to say: the only thing that I have changed in my diet is cutting my regular portion in smaller portions and just that helped me not to feel like a ballon that is ready to blow up after eating

Good advice! Let me try to do that starting tomorrow! See if it helps my bloatedness.
