Do you yell at your kids?

I've always thought that screaming is part and parcel of raising children but since moving to Sweden, I have not seen a parent raise their voice to their kids - not amongst my group of friends, not in public or not even in school. I was told that yelling at children can be constituted as abuse? I don't know how they do it but it must take alot of patience to be able to not yell when they are frustrated.
