Choice of Hospital

Hi, im 22 weeks pregnant.. ive been doing my monthly check-ups at kkh (subsidised) all these while but planning to swap to private hospital but am not sure when is the right period and which is the best recommended hospital for a female gynae.. Anyone can share your experience and advice?

My gynae Dr Chin Hsuan Crystal can deliver at most of the private hospital. U can try her. Her clinics are at Mount E Novena and TMC.

Hi im 19weeks pregnant and i have stopped consuming the folic acid after my 1st trimester.. should i continue or just stop totally?

You may finish up your folic acid and consume together with the rest of your supplements (fish oil, obimin, calcium)

High fever, Cough and Flu

Hi im in my 14 weeks pregnancy.. last week i just recovered from cough and flu and got it back yesterday together with high fever.. Went to private clinic and got my medications.. Has anyone gone through this? Should i consult gynae or just go to normal clinic?

Hi im in my 14 weeks pregnancy.. this is my first pregnancy and im 35 this year.. gynae suggested me to take the aspirin due to my age.. has anyone consumed this during pregnancy? Any side effects to mum and/or baby so far?

It’s normal and fine. It helps with thinning blood so that blood flow to baby is ok. Small dose one tablet per day is ok.

Private or government hospital

Hi, would anyone be able to share your experience or give advice if i should take private or government hospital for check-ups till delivery? Is kkh's private rate higher or cheaper than other private hospitals? Is kkh's service good? How will i know if the gynae is good and experienced?

If u wna take kkh private you might as well go for other private hosp. Its abt the same price. As fr me i only went to kkh subsidised for 3 mths. I switched to parkway east hosp after. Its much more convenient and systematic compared to the crowded kkh.
