How true this is, but how do we make Singaporean parents understand that early childhood is not about learning primary school syllabus in advance ? #parenttown

I really love this post. I can't stand parents who think that academic is everything. Academic is important. I don't deny it. However I feel that there is no much more to teach y child in life. Early child hood is the foundation be it for academic or even character building. I choose to go with character. With that all else will fall into place.

When your child starts to get curious about his genitals, is it appropriate to teach him the "correct term" (i.e. Penis)? Or to use euphemism such as "bird bird"?

Do you feed your child with cod liver oil? It's supposed to be good for brain development. However, my toddler doesn't like the taste (and smell)? How do you encourage toddler to take code liver oil? Or is there any substitute for the same kind of benefits?

I gave my girls the orange flavour & it really helps in improving immunity . Has to take it very consistently , cannot missed a dose

My 2-year-old boy has been sleeping late eg 10pm and wakes up as early as 7am. I'm concerned that he may not get sufficient sleep. Any suggestions to coax him sleep earlier?

What I do with my 17m is to tuck her in bed and off the night. I will stay with her for as long as she needs to get to sleep. I sing to her and pat her. Maybe you can try doing this method?

How do you persuade a 2 year old child to go to the dentist ?

This may be dependant on the dentist. A good one will make sure the kid is comfortable with the dental treatment.

Any recommendations for child-friendly activities to do or places to go in Singapore over weekend, other than going to shopping malls?

Take your child to Tanderra! It's like a real country club for kids - lots of fun. A good time to go would be during Easter. :)
