this would be great for my family as my daughter has constant dust allergies that cause her throat to itch in the night, making a lot of noise. this would help her (and us) sleep better. my son would also appreciate cleaner air-with this recent haze its been brutal here in the west- with the construction making it worse!

Just wanted to ask about your experience and how the recovery was for you. I have a toddler at home who still needs me for quite a lot of things, so I’m a bit worried about how to manage after the surgery. 😭 How long did it take before you could move around properly and do normal things again? Hi! I had my ACL surgery with Dr Henry Chan, my orthopaedic doctor in Singapore. Recovery definitely takes time, but my doctor was hands on before, during and after the surgery. One thing I learned is not to rush recovery. Follow your surgeon’s instructions, keep up with your prescribed physiotherapy exercises and work gradually on regaining your knee strength and range of motion. Don’t push yourself too hard, especially if you experience pain or swelling, and attend your follow up appointments to monitor your progress. Everyone heals at a different pace, so be patient with yourself and take it one step at a time. Hope this helps! 🤍🙏

How do you deal with spondyloarthritis?

Just wondering how others manage spondyloarthritis, especially the back pain and stiffness. any advice or doctor recommendations?

I totally get it, spondyloarthritis can be really tough to manage, especially when the morning stiffness hits hard and you're dealing with that lower back pain that just won't shift for hours. From what I've gathered, a lot of people find that early movement actually helps more than staying still, so stretching or even a gentle walk once you're up can make a difference with the stiffness. My neighbour swears by seeing a rheumatologist who specialises in this rather than a general GP, because they can tailor the treatment plan properly, whether that's physio, anti-inflammatory medication, or lifestyle adjustments. The buttock and lower back area seem to be where most people feel it worst, and consistency with exercises (even just 15, 20 minutes daily) seems to keep things more manageable long-term than sporadic efforts. That said, everyone's case is a bit different, so it's really worth checking in with your own doctor or specialist to make sure whatever you try fits your specific situation and severity. This one better not wait lah, please go see a doctor soon. Cold, uncomfortable legs can be quite a few different things, and a doctor needs to check your circulation properly to know what's going on. In the meantime, take note of when it happens and what it feels like so you can tell the doctor. Wishing you all the best and hope it's nothing serious.

My family's favourite is weekend cycling at East Coast Park, the kids love it because we stop for ice cream halfway and it doesn't feel like exercise to them. My husband and I get our steps in without it being a chore, so everyone's happy and we actually look forward to it instead of dreading a gym session.

I'd be curious to try this mainly because staying hydrated is such a struggle for me during the day, especially when I'm rushing around with the kids, so having something portable that I can just drop into my water bottle sounds really convenient. I have to say wholeheartedly I believe Oniha is a gifted individual and gentility his second nature. I have received the most rewarding and spiritual experience whilst conversing with him on the telephone. I heard and saw an angel in my minds-eye it was so overwhelming. ESG for weight loss here anyone

Has anyone here considered ESG for weight loss? I’ve been reading about it and am curious how it compares with other weight loss procedures, especially in terms of how much weight people actually lost.

From what I've heard around, ESG seems to give pretty solid results for most people, folks generally lose somewhere between 15 to 25% of their body weight, which is a good range compared to some other options out there. What really strikes me is that recovery is meant to be quite fast (most mums are back to normal after the first couple of days), and several people I know have mentioned losing a meaningful amount within the first few months, which helps keep motivation up. The thing is, everyone's results do depend quite a bit on sticking to the lifestyle side, diet, portion control, that sort of thing, so it's not a magic fix on its own, but when people are committed to it, the results seem to stick. Definitely worth having a proper chat with your doctor or a weight loss specialist here in Singapore to see if it's the right fit for your situation though!
