Lately, I’ve noticed my nose has been blocked quite often, along with some facial pressure and headaches. I initially thought it was just a passing issue, but it’s been happening more frequently. Could these be signs of a sinus problem, and when should I consider getting it checked?

Sounds like it could be sinus related, especially if the pressure and headaches are coming together with the blocked nose. I'd suggest bringing it up with your GP or visiting a polyclinic soon just to rule things out and get proper advice, since it's been going on for a while now. Sometimes it clears up on its own, but when it's affecting you this regularly it's worth getting checked before it gets worse.

About a week after I gave birth, I injured my ankle. I wasn't sure if it was a sprain or a fracture, but I could barely put weight on it. Since we had just brought our baby home, I couldn't bear to leave my little one for a hospital visit, so I kept hoping it would heal on its own. It's been a while now, and I'm still having pain and discomfort, so I think it's finally time to get it checked. I'd really appreciate any recommendations for an orthopaedic doctor you've had a good experience with. thank you... :)

Hi mummies! 🤍 I'm currently pregnant and for the past few weeks, my eyes have been feeling really dry and gritty. Sometimes they get so uncomfortable that I just want to keep them closed. 😅 I read that pregnancy hormones can cause dry eyes, but I wanted to ask if any other mums have experienced the same thing. Did your dry eyes get better as your pregnancy went on, or did they stay the same until after you gave birth? Did you end up seeing an optometrist or an eye doctor while you were pregnant, and was it safe? Also, were there any eye drops or simple remedies that helped and were safe to use during pregnancy? I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences. Being pregnant already comes with so many changes, so I'm hoping this is something other mums can relate to. Thank you so much! 🤍

What should parents know before teaching their teenagers to drive?

For parents with teenagers who are getting ready to learn driving, what are the most important things they should know about driver's licenses, requirements, road safety, and preparing for the licensing process? I’d love to hear tips and experiences from other parents.

My son just went through this last year, and honestly the biggest thing is to start with professional lessons first before you do any practice driving with them yourself. In Singapore, they need to pass the theory test at the traffic police before the practical, so make sure they study the handbook properly because the questions can be quite specific about our road rules. Once they're on the road with you, stay calm and patient because teenagers can get flustered easily, especially when dealing with our heavy traffic and tight parking spaces. I'd also say give them lots of supervised practice on quieter roads before tackling places like the expressway or busy town areas, and honestly, don't assume they'll pick things up naturally because every kid learns at their own pace. What's your child's timeline looking like?
