I'm looking for a brand of sandals for the beach for my 14 month old. Crocs are no good - he has pretty 'fleshy' feet and it's hard to get them In the crocs.

Is nebulizer necessary for a coughing toddler?

It really depend on the pd you are seeing i ever seen 2 different pd one did give nebulizer but the other one did not give but still my boy recover and grow up well. Nebulizer is not really harmful but I will reduce to use on my son because I prefer him to recover without this. In fact he doesn't like the nebulizer. I hear from my colleague that their pd do give her nebulizer because Her son have bronchitis usually pd will give if they have serious bronchitis

I thought my son had a cold but the doctor just diagnosed it as RSV, which sounds pretty awful. Has anyone has a kid whos had RSV - what did you do to fight it?

To add on to Diana’s points, here are some signs to watch out for. Do bring your son to the doctor if he is showing any of following symptoms: - Has a high fever and doesn’t look well (grey or blue skin) - Has thick nasal discharge - Cough that worsen or produces yellow, green, or grey mucus - Showing signs of dehydration - Has trouble breathing or excessive wheezing - Showing extreme tiredness As the virus is highly contagious, do keep your son at home to prevent spreading it to others. Teach your son good handwashing habits and educate him to stay away from children exhibiting cold symptoms to prevent contracting the virus again. Hope he gets well soon! And remember to take care of yourself too!

Do you feed your child with cod liver oil? It's supposed to be good for brain development. However, my toddler doesn't like the taste (and smell)? How do you encourage toddler to take code liver oil? Or is there any substitute for the same kind of benefits?

Is hairfall normal amongst toddlers?

As mentioned by Hui Qun, it is normal for a toddler to lose 40-100 strands of hair daily. However, isolated bald spots can be both frustrating and potentially a health issue. If your child wears barrettes in her hair or has a ponytail or braid on daily, there is a possibility the hair is being pulled too tight to the point of hair loss in certain areas. If your toddler complains or is regularly touching an area, then the item is too tight and needs to be removed. Poor nutrition can also cause hair loss and thinning. Toddlers need adequate protein intake in order to restore hair growth. Meats, eggs and peanut butter are great sources of protein.

Is it ok to give your toddler (2 years) sparkling water? What's too much?

I wouldn't give my child sparkling water. I always carry a bottle of water with me when I go out. Sparling water can give a little one a tummy ache because it is acidic.
