How can various skills be recognized and enhanced for a Toddler?

I believe the best way to understand your child is through reading up some books. Internet information might be too scattered for us to gather all information. Thus, I would like to recommend this book by Richard C. Woolfson, "Bright Toddler: Understand and Stimulate Your Child's Development". http://www.amazon.com/Bright-Toddler-Understand-Stimulate-Development/dp/0764118803 This book is very easy to use and understand. You can flip to the development age that is relevant to your child and there are suggested activities for you to do with your child to stimulate him/her.

I think till kids are 2-3 years it's fine. They really aren't concerned with any specific body parts at this age and just enjoy the general experience.

Has your child ever had H1N1? How to look after him/her at home?

My fiance was infected with H1NI (or swine flu) when he was living in Hong Kong back in 2009. He was quarantined for a duration of time and had food delivered to his apartment. I think the doctor gave him antibiotics and he was asked to drink lots of fluids and basically rest rest rest. While he is not a child, I reckon the treatment for both adults and children are generally similar. Children might not be able to handle the discomfort and pain (from sore throats, chest pains) too well so do take note to make him or her comfortable and to monitor their temperature and general well-being when they are down with H1N1. But come to think of it, my fiance was in his mid-20s then he acted like a child the whole time he was sick :|

By when can i start using a toothpaste for my baby?

i spoke to the dentist for my baby's first brushing experience and i was told that you can start using a toothpaste from the time your baby is over a year old. just make sure that the toothpaste does not contain any fluoride. also, initially you can help your baby just use the toothbrush and spit out the water, and then introduce the paste. in India, using the simple Colgate toothpaste that is white in colour is the best choice, even for babies.
