Bra Recomendation

Hi.. Im 15 weeks pregnant and my breast start to swollen.. I dont know why.. Any one know what type of bra is recomended during pregnancy??

Coconut related food

Recently I've been craving for laksa. I know coconut is a bit too cold for the body. But is it ok to take 1 a week?

I eat everything except raw food! Ok to eat!:)

Polloney essence of black fish for csec recovery

Anybody consumed Polloney Essence of black fish (pati ikan haruan) to recover from their csect? Does it help to heal faster ? #FTM #firstbaby

Congrats on your upcoming arrival! Pati ikan haruan is pretty commonly recommended for C-section recovery here, the idea is that the black fish is rich in amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids that help with wound healing, both the external scar and the internal tissue. My friend who had a C-section drank it daily for close to two months on the advice of her Malay masseur, and she felt it helped with her internal wound healing and even her skin. That said, results do vary from person to person, so it's worth weighing whether the commitment (cost and drinking it consistently over weeks) suits you. Do check with your ObGyn or a dietitian first, especially since post-surgery nutrition needs can differ for everyone, better to be safe!

Not wearing socks during confinement

Anybody did not wear socks during confinement and at night sleeping and doing well? I just went thru csect and only wore compression socks during hospital stay and did not wear any socks at home (my leg no longer swollen) Will i be ok? Sg weather is just crazy hot even when not wearing socks, im sweating a bucket #FTM #pleasehelp

I’m a C-section mom too. Never wear sock during my confinement. 5 months pp now and I’m doing well.

No confinement after csec

Any mummies went thru csec but did not do confinement and doing well? #FTM

Honestly, I've heard quite a mixed range of experiences on this, some mummies skipped confinement after their C-section and felt they managed fine, especially when they had a good support system at home and listened to their body carefully. The key thing most of them said was not to push too hard too soon, the incision site needs real time to heal, so no heavy lifting, no rushing around, even if you feel okay on the surface. A friend of mine actually skipped the full traditional confinement and just focused on eating well, resting as much as she could, and accepting help when offered, she said that made a bigger difference than following every confinement rule strictly. That said, I think the honest trade-off is that without proper rest and support built in, it's easy to overdo things and set back your recovery, so you'd want to be quite disciplined about pacing yourself even without a formal confinement structure. If you're leaning towards skipping it, just make sure someone is around to help with baby and household things, at least for the first few weeks.

C section duration

How long did your c section take? And do you feel anything during the process? Like can feel the knife etc I might be going for emergency csection due to no progress, and want to prepare myself mentally.

less than half an hour mainly just feeling tugging feeling. they gave me some gas then I was drowsy for the epidural. Didn't feel much but talked to my hubby during the process cause didn't want to think too much about it . After the epidural wears off mainly just take the stronger pain killers.

Medisave Maternity Package in NUH

Hi mummies. im giving birth in November soon, i just want to understand how does it work? i understand we can claim $900 for the prenatals check-ups. will we get it by cheque? if yes, how long does it take? and for the delivery charges, we do have a withdrawal limit to use medisave but i heard from my friends that it can be reimbursed by cheque too? i dont understand so please help me out. thank you so much!#pleasehelp #FTM

I think it depends on your bill. I gave birth in TMC, my $900 MMP was deducted from my total hospital bill. Total hospital bill was $8K after $900 MMP deduction and I was only allowed to deduct $4K from medisave and balance by cash/card. So in short, if you’re under private, you most probably will not have any reimbursement to get back after all the deductions. If you’re going via the sub route, you’ll most likely have a balance after deducting everything which will be reimbursed by cash cheque (not sure of the processing duration).

Any reviews on Dr Kenneth Edward Lee?

I don’t see many reviews on him But I know he delivers at Mount A.

Im with Dr Lee now (for my first pregnancy) his very gentle and resassuring i would say. Each appointment he would take time to address any concerns you and my husband (who is a worried wart) questions are answer by him as well! He doesnt rush his apointment with his client too. His staff are very friendly as well.

Skincare/supplements recommendations that are safe for pregnancy

I just found out I'm pregnant and am currently in Japan on a holiday. Seems like i cannot just use any skincare products/supplements when pregnant due to certain ingredients that are not safe for pregnancy. Any recommendations of good pregnancy safe skincare/supplements i can get in Japan?#advicepls #firsttimemom

I still stick to same skincase just avoid retinol.
