Csection - kotex overnight panties

Any mummies uses kotex overnight panties after c section ? Does the incision rub against the panties and does it hurt ?

Hi! From what I've heard, the key thing is really the waistband placement, you want something high-waisted so the elastic sits well above the incision rather than right on it, which is why some mums actually prefer those big hospital granny panties for the first week or so before switching to anything else. Someone in my mum group mentioned pairing the Kotex overnight pads with high-waisted disposable underwear worked really well, since the pads themselves are soft and cotton-feeling rather than that scratchy plastic mesh, so at least that part isn't adding to the discomfort. That said, a few mums found it more comfortable to stick with whatever the hospital provides first, then layer in the Kotex overnights once the soreness settles a bit, so it really depends on how sensitive your incision area is in those early days. Worth trying both and seeing what your body is okay with, since recovery does vary quite a bit from person to person!

Vitamin c for csect

Is vitamin c good for c section ? Any mummy taking vitamin c supplement for their c cestion recovery?

Vitamin C is generally quite helpful for c-section recovery because it supports collagen production, which is really important for your wound to heal properly, so eating colourful fruits and vegetables like oranges, papaya, and bell peppers during recovery is a good idea. My friend who had her c-sect at KKH was actually told by her doctor that getting Vitamin C through food is the safest approach, especially when you're still in the early postpartum stage, since low doses from natural food sources are considered gentle enough. That said, I'll be honest, when I tried taking a higher-dose supplement on top of my diet, I found it a bit hard on my stomach when I was already dealing with postpartum bloating, so supplements are not always the smooth ride people expect. Some mums in my circle swear by the supplement route and felt it really sped up their scar healing, but a few others had similar digestive discomfort, so it really does vary from person to person. Either way, definitely worth checking with your O&G or GP first before starting any supplement, especially since your body is still healing from major surgery.

Able to do house chore afte csect

Anybody actually did their normal routine/house chore when theyre back from hospital (delivery via c section) I gave birth via csect 6 days ago, alto my incision still hurt, in starting to do normal house chores and quite alot of walking around the house but im scared itll be not good for my recivery.

Chores can wait so priorities your health. Take painkillers.

Anyone drinks cold water during confinement and no side effect whatsoever ? Or did not do confinement ? Esp csection

hi. i had vaginal deliver and i drink cold drinks but i did drink hot water too. so far no side effect. just make sure you balance it ok!

Post partum blues ?

Im only 6 days post csect delivery but i already feel all kinds of emotion. Im not sure if this called post partum blues or im just adapting to new environment and everything. Everyday i would cry or feel like crying, sometimes for no valid reason. I just feel like crying. And when my newborn cry, i would feel like crying too. At the same time, nothing prepared me of how much i will miss being with my husband, just the two of us, doing whatever we want, watching netflix together, cuddling together, etc but now everything is all about baby. I miss being me. I miss being by myself and do whatever i want. I feel bad for saying this but sometimes i just wished i would’ve waited a little longer to conceive after marriage. Now there’s no turning back and just have to slowly adapt to new everything. Is it normal to cry everyday post delivery, esp for first time mum.

you wouldn't want to be me, only having 1st baby after 10 years of marriage. I feel no energy and mood to take care of baby. you just need to find time with your hubby and learn to appreciate baby.

Binder after removing csect bandage

After removing waterproof bandage or any bandage covering our csect incision, can we still wear binder covering the incision ? Or no longer need

Yes, you can still wear your binder even after the bandage comes off, the incision being uncovered doesn't mean it can't have gentle support over it. From what I've generally heard, the key is to wear it low, sitting just under the belly to support the lower abdomen rather than pressing directly and harshly on the wound line itself. Most mums seem to keep it on for around 4 to 6 weeks, especially when up and moving around, and then gradually stop once the sharper pain settles, though honestly, I stopped earlier than that because mine started to feel uncomfortable and a bit sweaty around the incision area, so it really does vary from person to person. It does help with mobility and feeling less sore when you're walking or getting up, but do check with your own doctor first since every wound heals differently and they'll know best for your specific situation.

Remove csection waterproof bandage

My csection waterproof bandage can be removed tomorrow, on day 8 post delivery, as per kkh nurse. However, my incision still hurts. Is it normal? Im so scared they open and its exposed and open back or something. Since after the waterproof bandage they say can shower as per normal etc. At which day post delivery did your waterproof bandage removed and incision no longer covered ? And does it hurt when in contact with water ? Im so scared cs its weird how the stitching healed in just a week. #FTM

C sect mom here. I didn’t put on any waterproof bandage. My gynae said I can showered as per normal but I only did so after the confinement. The wound didn’t hurt or sting when come in contact with water. I avoid touching it though 🤣
