Is it normal to still walk very slow 2 weeks post csection?

When did you start getting Braxton hicks?

Hi fellow mummies, have you felt any braxton hicks, and if yes, when did it start and how intense was it?

I’m currently 27 weeks, already feeling BH contractions. Sometimes tummy feels rock hard. So I take deep breathes till tummy goes back to normal

what's a good amniotic fluid index at 28-29 weeks?

Honestly, I remember being quite blur about this when my gynae mentioned it during my detailed scan too. From what I know, the normal range can vary and your gynae is really the best person to explain what your specific reading means for your stage of pregnancy. I would not stress too much over the numbers you read online because every pregnancy is different, and what matters is what your own doctor says in context. Do bring it up at your next appointment and ask them to walk you through the results, so you have a clear picture rather than worrying on your own.

Bend over after csect

Is it ok to bend down 2 weeks after csection? What happens when we bend down too much? I didnt know i cannot do so and been doing quite alot to pick things up

Oh gosh, a few of us who had c-sects were also told this only after the fact, so you are definitely not alone. Bending too much too soon can put strain on your incision and slow down healing, so it is good that you are checking now. Try to keep things at a reachable height for the time being, like getting someone to help you or using a small stool to rest things on. It would be good to mention this to your PD or gynae at your next visit just so they can check that your wound is healing well, especially since you have been bending quite a bit.

Episiotomy - how was it? Big baby

Hi. My baby is nearly 3kg at 36 weeks. Doc suggested to induce and get episiotomy. Was wondering for experienced mummy, was episiotomy painful w epi and how was it like right after?

can’t feel with epi. you won’t feel it until few hours after epi wears off. right after will be sore and tender to touch, can apply topical numbing cream and take painkillers.

Increased NT (nuchal translucency)

I went for fts and nipt recently. The full report will come out in a few weeks but on the same day of doing fts, the Dr told me briefly the ultrasound results. Showed me that baby has nasal bone and increased NT. I asked her if I shld be worried abt increased NT. She said don't be, that I should wait for the full report. Any moms can share their experience with this? I am trying my best not too worry but I won't lie that it's always at the back of my mind now.

don’t worry . Just wait for the NIPT result.. i did NIPT before the FTS so I could review the NIPT result during the FTS. When I was reviewing the FTS scan with the gynae, she mentioned until I very high risk based on some points and blah blah due to their own calculation in the probability... I started to freak out abit and was a bit down. suddenly the nurse came in with the nipt report , she took and say oh the result for nipt is good, there is nothing to worry about just follow the nipt result.. It’s not possible to tell u not to worry but I hope my experience will give you a booster of hope at least till you receive your nipt result ❤️❤️❤️

Stomach sore after giving birth

Is it normal a week ++ after birth stomach feels sore (not cramp), and your insides feel like falling off. How long will it usually last.

Lasted about 2 weeks+ (I’m a csect mom). Have to use a binder to hold everything in place.

Baby weight at birth

Hi mummies. What is the ideal baby weight at birth?

My gynae told me most babies are born 2.5 - 3.5kg. Mine was 3.04kg

Incision still hurt

Does your c section incision still hurt every now and then after 2 weeks? Esp when moving or using leg/stomach muscle

Yes normal. I’m almost 2 months pp and I still feel some ache every now and then. But it’s mild.
