Pregnant & have cats

Hi mummies , i heard that if u are pregnant and have cat , it is best to stay away from their litter box as far as u can as it may affect baby . Is that true ? I have cats at home and i try to stay away by always being in the room 24/7 . Also , with my constantly stuffed nose , i cant usually smell anything but still i avoid their litter box. Anyone have heard of this or avoided this during their pregnancy ? #firsttimemom #pleasehelp #advicemommies #advicepls

Pelvic bone pain

Im at 22 weeks and really having a hard time with the pain on the pelvic bone area. Especially when getting up from sitting down and changing sides during sleep. Any tips to help ease the pain?

Any mummies under KKH subsidized managed to get doctor’s memo to WFH? Planning to do so when nearing 3rd trimester.

Might be a bit hard esp subsidized route. Unless you have a valid reason or medical concern then theyll write a memo for you. Can always try!

Food poisoning when pregnant

i just had it few days back 🥸🥸🥸 i recovered a day after but came back the day after again. i had to consult doc online as i couldn't sleep from 1.36am till 5.45am. plus i couldn't wait since i also have my first child which is 10 months old. i couldn't eat the first day. drank water and puke also. the pain on tummy felt like contractions on the third day.

Steroid injection on c sec wound anyone?

I heard that we can inject steroid onto our wound to help healing of the wound. Is that true?

I think that is an option if you develop a keloid or hypertrophic scar on the wound.

Abortion procedure

Hi mummies that went through abortion at early stage. How do i go about getting an abortion, do i go to KKH A&e or go polyclinic for referral or go private clinic/hospital for faster appointment ? How long is the appointment and how long is the procedure from first appointment to the abortion day itself ? were you given pill, and how many days were you warded? And how painful is abortion? Please dont ask me reason for abortion. Just asking in advanced in the event i needed it for my own health reason.

You'll need to go to the polyclinic to do a urine test so they can record that you're pregnant and refer u to kkh. During this appointment, mention your interest/concerns and they will schedule you accordingly.

Sleeping issues during pregnancy

Hi all, I’m currently week 16+. Since first trimester, I have sleeping problems, keep waking up in the middle of night. Sometimes due to need to pee, sometimes leg restless/cramps or just auto wake up. Recently during second trimester, it has become a daily norm to wake up several times at night. 😫 anyone has similar issues and any tips to improve sleep? #advicemommies #pleasehelp #FTM

I try not to drink water about 2hrs before bed. And do 30mins of prenatal yoga + stretches. This helps tire me out and the stretches help w cramps tremendously.
