As an expat who might have to return when the kiddo is three months old, what would be the absolutely essential things I should get? I do not want to throw away stuff here and would rather buy it later. Please help.

Bare essentials - 1. Bassinet and 2 bed sheets 2. Bottles 3. Breast pump 4. Swaddles, clothes, booties, mittens, socks 5. Diaper & diaper rash cream 6. Bath tub and bathing liquids and a towel 7. Baby carrier You can buy the tub, carrier, and bassinet on carousell or preloved baby goods group.

Is it true that period cramps get better after you'be had a baby? Whats the reasoning behind it though?

I experienced 1 period cycle after my first delivery, when my baby no.1 was about 24 months old. The menstrual cramps I had after birth was very painful and I do not think it is better off than before I got pregnant. Thus, it is not true for me. I asked some of my friends about their menstrual pain post delivery, some of them commented that the pain is still the same as pre-pregnancy.

What do you prefer to receive when your friends visit you after you give birth?

Cash would be best as many times items bought are repeated. Otherwise can also contribute to the Cda fund. Alternatively ask the mom what she needs or is lacking :)

What are things you should not say to a pregnant woman?

Definitely don't make comments about her weight or say things like, "make sure you lose all your baby weight after the baby comes". Or pretty much avoid saying anything that will cause her to feel sad, stressed or worried. Whatever she feels, the baby will feel as well. Think about the baby's well being above anything else, please.

My friend's wife is about 36 week pregnant. he went for a gynae checkup and the doc is advising to admit her to the hospital next week, but for a normal delivery. Her EDD is mid april Is it advisable?

@samantha I am uncertain on the exact reason. The baby is already 3+ kgs, would that be a reason enough for the recommendation?

5 months pregnant and suddenly my tummy is super hairy - why is this happening?! Can I wax my tummy when pregnant?

It's perfectly normal to suddenly get hairy since your hormones are increasing due to the pregnancy. It's also the same reason why we have such awesome hair during pregnancy too
