IUCD - effective/side effect?

Hi mummies, anyone did iucd before or is currently using? What was it like ? Is it painful during insertion? Any side effect ? And did you manage to stay pregnant-free? I read that only iucd does not contain hormone. Does it affect sex? Like painful or anything

I had the copper IUCD inserted at KKH after my second kid and yes, the insertion is uncomfortable, like a sharp cramp that lasts a minute or two, but it passes quickly. I have been on it for three years now with no issues, periods are a bit heavier the first few months but it settled down, and sex feels completely normal for both me and my husband.

Wisdom tooth surgery

Anyone had their wisdom tooth extracted via surgery? How many days did the pain take to subside and how long was the recovery? And how do i actually know if i have recovered?

I did. I removed all 4 at one go. Cannot rmb much as it was more than 10 years ago but pain should have stayed about 5 days to a week. After 1 week, have to go back to remove the stitches. As long as you don't feel pain and can eat comfortably, I think it should be fine. Can ask the dentist if unsure.

Baby movement to music or people chatting

My husband's super curious, because I showed him today how certain genres of music makes our baby move, and he spent the last 30min testing it out, and concluded our baby like dance music. She also reacts to strangers talking, if we have guests over the whole day, she moves the whole day. On days where it's just us, she's chill and only moves at meal times. We've tested this theory out over Christmas and New Years when we had different groups of friends over, and it's all the same - she moves the entire time our guests were over. Do I have a kaypoh baby 😂 any mums realized their baby's similar reaction? #firstpregnancy #firstpregnancyjourney #firsttimemom

I don’t know if baby is gonna be kaypoh anot but my baby only reacts to “Happy” and “All I want for Christmas is you” while in my tummy. Everytime these two songs come on the radio (in taxi), she’s having a party inside 😂. But then after she’s out, she don’t react nor feel anything towards these two songs (she’s 2yo now btw). P.S I still remember her kicking my husband hard in the face when he tried to listen to my tummy 😅. God I miss these moments, enjoy while you can and don’t forget to video!!

Irrational fear of being hated by my baby

Before giving birth I never thought I would love my baby - he is just another stranger to me. I even hoped baby loves dad more so dad would have to do everything so I can rest. But after giving birth I have this irrational jealousy towards everyone hogging my baby, and jealousy towards anyone baby laughs and smiles to, especially if baby didn't smile as much with me. Now I even fear that what if my baby grows up to hate me because I nag at him a lot or if I am a bad parent. What should I do...

Ahhh mummy i was in your same exact position when i gave birth🥹🥹 thought i was the only one. But dont worry mummy!! Baby will never forget who his mummy is. Based on experience. I barely took care of my baby for the first 2 months cs i was in so much pain from csect. But now at 3months, my baby would always smile at me and looks happy etc baby will never hate anyone, unless they abuse baby. Dont worry too much itll be fine one day

Father text child mother to send to orphans care on weekend

A father willing to see his only child send to orphan care. I guess he an awesome father. Just 2 weekends take care my child which is he want to bring home to see his parents now become my request. It was humorous. It so hard to being a women need to work and same time take care family. Is so hard to work as a mother to many commitment to send & pick child from childcare. To take urgent leave, sick leave and annual leave for child need when he sick not able to school. Same time need to meet employer KPI. In fact lousy worker to my boss. I cannot juggling work and child in same time. Appreciate if any work can recommend me. I appreciate gov help to promote more childcare leave for mother. During pregnancy I cooked meal for his families. No appreciated. During confinement in-law ask me $2k due to my confinement ingredient had spent her money. I ask her to take from her beloved son. I’m the always main carer to my son. From he born to now 3.5yo. Sick I carry. Even after surgery I continue to breastfeed my son and handle baby need. After move out to BTO, this man usually words abuse or shouting or crazy. Laid down and screen time with his phone. Today he text me send his only begotten son to orphan care. My heart really numb from all this. I feel upset that I don’t know how much my son take from him today. And I was so helpless sitting in office chair and unable to help my son. Feeling so sorry to my son.

Transit to stage 2 milk formula

My 6months old baby is on mixed feeding- bm and fm (night). Recently I have changed the formula from 1 to 2 for 1 week, using the same brand. He has been pooping for every diaper, some watery some creamy but continues to drink well. Should I bring him to the pd or change the formula milk?

stage 1 and stage 2 nutritional needs are different. I think should as long as not watery stools every pooing then it's fine x so long as baby gain weight and eat normally with no fussing. if you are concerned, tell the PD.

Baby starts solid soon

Hi mummies I plan to start solid when my baby 5.5 months old as she will be in IFC by 6 months of age. What should i try first? And how early i can introduce BLW? Is it necessary? When can baby start to drink water, No idea on how to start at all. Please helppp

I started with rice cereal, then fruit/veggie purées. After that when she’s sitting more steadily, I start to do BLW with carrots and other foods in strips. Water I give after 6mo but few sips/mini spoons.
