Hi, is it normal to have knee pain after birth when bending up and down?

I don't experience that. It may due to your heavy tummy that puts pressure on your knee. You can wear compression socks or reduce bending to prevent the pain and discomfort.

Feeling hopeless

Whenever I ask my husband to look after my child or interact more with her he told me I was the one who wanted to have children so I need to be responsible to take care.he will do his part that was agreed upon. I feel hopeless how can someone be so heartless and say this kind of thing like the child is only mine.i wonder why then the child has to take the father's surname. Maybe I should change to my surname. Maybe I should consider divorce.

Walaoooo he really said that! I think thats the reason why when making babies, there should be mutual agreement. But still, how can he say like that.

C-section - bleeding from urethra area ?

Hi mummies! I'm currently 18 days post postpartum, did emergency c-sec due to not dilating fast enough . For the past week, I've been noticing some blood coming from the urethra area . As I thought lochia/bleeding will generally be from the vagina , so I'm Not sure if it's normal ? I'm not in pain & there's no blood clot ... #adviceplease #firsttimemom

The bleeding shouldn't be from the urethra. Do check in with your gynae.

Just pouring my heart out here. My baby was all well and healthy. Was 34 weeks. We went to checkup on Monday and was so happy to see her with head down position preparing to see the world. Just 2 days after the checkup, i felt no movement at all. I kept thinking she's probably sleeping. No kicking, nothing at all from morning till late afternoon. She's usually so active in my tummy. Breaks my heart so so much to hear that there was no heartbeat detected. While waiting to give birth, I could hear babies crying in the other room and all I could think of was here I am in the delivery suite without hearing my baby's cry. Days after giving birth to my baby, I'm so sick and tired of hearing "Can try again". I feel so paranoid hearing that every single time. And on the other hand, sure there are people that's gonna text you condolences and such but saying 'Let me know if you need anything' is like why the hell should I come to you if I need anything. Shouldnt you be the one coming to me and comfort me instead of me finding you? It's easier said than done. After I lost my baby I really feel so paranoid at so many things. I couldnt bare seeing a pregnant women or a newborn baby. It breaks my heart every single time. I dont wish to see anyone. Talk to anyone at all. Some of the people that I expected to be there for me wasn't even there at all. The least expected person were the ones that came. Sigh.

I had 2 miscarriages before and it hurts when I think of it but life goes on. be strong.

Rant - setting boundaries

Tried to set some ground rules during this festive season by requesting my MIL (and her relatives) not to anyhow give food/snacks to the LO. Caught them still doing it and even trying to hide and feed discretely. Even to the point that I got called being over protective and too rigid. How else can I enforce my boundaries over my LO? I already got my husband to play the bad cop by calling them out when they get caught doing it, but it spoils the mood because they will just show a black face after that. I know they are not bad people and my husband really enjoys family bonding time. What else can I do? It’s so tiring having to keep a watchful eye while trying to enjoy the festivities. 🫠

Can stress cause period delay

Hi mummies, can stress and fatigue cause sudden period delay? I am 5 months PP, nto breastfeeding. before this period on time but this month my stress abit extra, and extra overthinking some stuff. Not sure if thats the cause of period delay. Ive checked 5 diff preg test all negative. Anyone face same thing ?

Hi mummies, I'm 4 days past ovulation and I'm experiencing severe abdominal cramps and back pains. Never felt like this before. I'm currently on IUD since March 2023. Is this normal? Googled but no answers were found. What do you think is the issue here? #IUD #cramps #ovulation

Severe cramps that feel different from what you normally experience are worth taking seriously, especially since you are on an IUD, as there are a few possible things going on and it is hard to say without a proper check. I would not wait too long on this one, it might be good to see your PD or a gynaecologist soon, just to rule out anything like IUD displacement or other issues. Getting it checked in person gives you a clearer picture than anything online can.

Question about packing hospital bag and Mt Alvernia hospital

Hi everyone, currently 38w and just finished packing my hospital bag... some people have advised to pack snacks (going for natural delivery) and to bring along breast pump... Qn is... Will I even have time to snack? Also, heard that first day milk supply will not be much, how to pump? I'm wondering if I'd need to bring along the milk bottles, bottle soaps etc to keep it all clean during the hospital stay... Separately, has anyone stayed in Mt A recently? Have they changed the sofa for dads to something more comfortable and should we bring along blanket for daddy? Please advise... #help #advice #hospitalbag #baby #mummy

i just gave birth at Mt Alvernia 2 weeks ago. as i didnt breastfeed, i cant ans 1st part of ur qns. regarding the hosp stay, husband will sleep on a long sofa. blanket and pillow will be provided. toiletries also provided which can be shared btw u and ur hub. only toothbrush only given 1 so ur hub need to bring extra. anw, i dun think u have to bring snack. try to pack light. hospital will have tea break and u can also ask for biscuit or bread and milo of not enough.

crazy itching PP

Hi! It's been 4 weeks since I gave birth. Since the 2nd week ive been itching but its getting so much worser. Itching is on my arms, legs and back. Any home remedies or OTC medication recommendations pleaseeeee im itching like hell 😭 is this PP hives?? redish and tiny bumps all overr 🥲
