What age baby can swim in public

At what age baby can swim in public swimming pool? Like condo or even swimming complex in those neighbourhood or even safra?

From what most Singapore pools follow, babies are generally allowed in public pools once they are at least 6 months old, though some places like condos or SAF clubs may have their own rules so it is always good to call ahead and check with the facility directly.

Oh this is a good question lah, I also wondered about this when my baby was young! Generally most places in Singapore recommend babies to be at least 6 months old before going into public pools, and by then their immune system is a bit stronger to handle the chlorine and environment. But hor, always check the specific pool rules first because some condos and SAF/SAFRA pools have their own minimum age requirements, and make sure baby is not sick and has no open wounds before bringing them in, and always use a proper infant float or swim vest and never leave them unattended even for one second in the water!

Is it ok to prop up 12 week old baby to sit?

Like those inflatable chair. Baby can support head and won’t flop but wondering if it’s bad for the spine?

Infant care or helper

Hi fellow mummies, as per above. Which choices will you go for once maternity leaves ends. Is it true that babies will get sick very often in infant care? And then defeats the purpose of placing them in infant care as we need to continuously take leave to care for them at home

How do you care for your baby on your own?

Hi working mummies! Due to space constraints, I’m seriously considering taking care of my baby on my own till I go back to work. Currently we are staying at my in laws and we have a part time helper who does housework. I’m not expecting my in laws to help with taking care of baby. MIL & SIL work and FIL is not so mobile. May I check with mummies who managed to take care of your baby wo any confinement lady or helper for tips? I’m 3 months to my EDD now. Feeling the anxiety kicking in cos I’m really unsure how I can manage as a FTM. :( I’m wondering if I can just try my best to cope and when I go back to work, i can get a day care nanny to take care of my baby. Cos of the space constraints, I doubt a helper would be an option.

im a ftm at 22yo n i took care of my lo myself. i didn't get any nanny during confinement, i only ordered confinement food catering. first few weeks will be tough for you bc you have to adjust your sleep schedule to your baby's but as long as you take as many naps as you can with baby you'll be fine!! to me the only challenge i face while caring for my lo is bathing her, so usually i wipe her until my mother helps to bathe her
