What to do when your toddler screams?

In my experience, the last thing you'd want to do is to have a screaming match with a toddler having a tantrum. Speaking to them in a low, firm voice is WAY more effective than yelling; it calms them down and forces them to lower the volume of their own voice. They tend to mimic your tone even if they don't realize it. At what age do babies or toddlers should be brought to the dentist?

As soon as your baby's teeth erupt, no matter if it's just one or too many, you should bring your kid to the dentist. There's no such thing as too early for this :)

Hi guys, just wanted some assurance :( my Son is 20 months old and hasn't yet slept through the night. We co sleep and I am still breastfeeding him. I feel like this is taking a toll on me, because of work plus parenting and the lack of sleep. He wakes 2-3 times each night. We latch to sleep and he wakes up screaming a few hours later, presumably cuz I have left the room. And he doesn't want his dad. And throughout the night he wakes and wants to latch back to sleep. He screams if I refuse the boob. What used to be really nice (breastfeeding) really feels like a burden to me now. I wish I could sleep like my Husband (through all the noise). Can someone please reassure me that this will all pass? I'm feeling really upset but yet don't want to quit on my worst day. Thank you for listening to my rant :)

Hey dear, awww i feel you. I am in the same state and this has been going on for only 3months since LO was born. That being said, congratulations cause baby and you indeed share a special bond which can never be replaced. Secret, i have felt like its a burden too. In fact i have even lost my temper more then a couple of times. It is hard, i too have unsettled rest cause baby keeps latching and unlatching throughout the day and night. Depending on your comfort level and capabilities, for me i let it go, im like whatever la. Cause im tired so i give in. But one day, even if you want to BF him, he wouldnt want it anymore. And then you will miss the good old days. They need us this mych for only a short time, after this stage, ahahaha they will be gone and we will be eishing for them to stay with us longer. Treasure the moment even if it seems tortuous for now. Remind yourself why you started this in the first place. Way to go mummy, you are not alone. We are all going through the same thing. Everything will be okay. Hope that this lil sharing of mine will be able to ease you a little. Give a shout out and im sure im not the onky mom who will come forward to give their support. Cheers

Hello all. I just bought Goo.n (excellent dry version) yesterday as per attached. Is this the correct one? Cause Goo.n has also another version which is the speed dry version that I heard ain't that good. Pls advise! Thanks!

I would like to shave my LO's hair after full month.Will it be 3rd or 4th month after birth? And also will any barber can do or need to go for special salon?

My 5month old having flu. She have been sneezing and will it cause her to cough? when she cough she does not have the pleghm sound. what can i do? should i bring her to see the pd again or is there any natural remedies?

Try to remove the mucus from her nose if any. Do observe yr lo and always trust yr gut feelings. If still unwell after 2-3 weeks, pls see yr pd again. Medication is usually not advisable. I normally use salone drops or nasal spray to ease the congestion or running nose.

is a normal food blender recommended for bb food or a baby food blender preferred instead? any to recommend ? photos pls*

I used normal food blender.. But only for a short while then we switch to using this kind to mash the food..

My son is 8 months old and I am at the end. The night time crying must end permanently. How do I make it so that he knows that playtime is ok when the sun is in the sky, and he is not to be heard at all, under any circumstance, when it is dark?

It is little worrying that your 8mo is still crying at night. Timing of feed is important -- have late 11 pm feed and make your baby sleep. Anyways, this is just enough to keep him silent for next 5 hours. Aleast, it will give you good span of sleep. I have observed that if your baby sleeps during evening time then night do come out nightmares. Avoid or delay evening time nap to adjust your baby in a day and night cycle.
